LEGO 2019 Stranger Things Rumours Discussion

So with the new season it's now most definitley clear this is the most mature license TLG has ever handled.

Until WB remakes the movies (possibly into TV) in 20-30 years. LOL
  5. I never thought they would.

Hahaha, it's ridiculus how immature some of you can be. All the complaining really does not make the AFOL community look good. So going back to LEGO, what are the chances of a new Fluffy? No doubt they left him/her/them out of the first year sets because it would require at least one new mould. Maybe they also couldn't decide wether to make him partly brickbuild. I personaly would be perfectly happy with the old version, but I doesn:t really fit modern LEGO standards, there is no chance they'll reuse it.
  7. Gotta agree. Imagine what they could do with all the new pieces they introduced since the last space theme! But I really don't want it to be conflict based like the last few. The last one that had a good message was Life on Mars in 2001! There's too much conflict in the real world anyways...
  8. We do? Are the FFH sets everything thats left or have I missed something?
  9. Damn, it's still so far away, but I'm hyped as heck. I was afraid Disney was gonna chicken out after the (imo completely undeserved and intensly immature) TLJ-backlash and play it safe like they did with TFA. But this looks just as fresh as TLJ and those creatures they're riding look sick. What are the chances we'll get new moulds for them in the first two waves?
  10. Yikes. Never gonna happen. Ole Kirk Christiansen was heavily anti-war.

Damn, poor Will. TLG is no stranger to making terrified kid-faces, but he is sleep-deprived and traumatized. Holy crap- I know this probably isn't the place to discuss it, but I never thought about what Will thought when he first got trapped in the Upside Down. Did he think it was a nightmare at first? Did he maybe think he was in hell? Demigorgon has a closed faceprint - nice. Also, I'm really curious about the structure. Obviously they designed it well enough to hold at first, but like the UCS Slave I shows (don't own one, just know about the issue), gravity's a bitch.

HOW DARE YA DISRESPECT MY MAN HAGRID!?
  13. In the US Netflix rates it TV-14 and in german speaking countries (which are generally a lot less prude and comservative) it's 16+ (same as the LEGO rating, which, as we heard in The LEGO Movie itself, is more of a suggestion). It may not be as groundbreaking as some people belive it to be, but it does create some cracks. Stranger Things as a show itself takes the 80s "for kids" approach. Poltergeist, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Back To The Future, Beetlejuce, Who Framed Roger Rabbit were all originally rated PG, while all of them contain at least on scene, word or theme which would earn them an R-rating nowadays. (F*ck the MPAA raitings board btw)
  14. Very excited about The Office. But if the project falls through, then it's not because of the property, but because they couldn't reach a deal with NBC. The Big Bang Theory (yuck) and Friends sets set a precedent that TLG is most certainly willing to take on licenses of current sitcoms and sitcoms that have been off the air longer that they've been on.
