I disagree. It makes the mask game easier and thus a lot more fun! It was a pretty ingenious idea honestly.

It has became generic over time because it works. Are all creative types hipstery? Nothing is wrong with something generic, much less something generic winning. Creativity is in the eye of the beholder. What might be uncreative to you can be extremely creative to someone else. The whole point was to make something large and imposing. Anything without wings just wouldn't be able to beat that MOC in the judging process, since wings make a shadowy character look like it could envelope its enemy.

We have no confirmation that the line is ending, and the people who claim it us need to hop back up on the fence with the rest of us until we get some true evidence from LEGO itself. The community is part of what's wrong with BIONICLE. Instead of positively talking about design inspirations, new exciting world-building and lore added by Windham, and getting the community as a whole involved in exciting fan projects, everyone is trying to predict BIONICLE's doom either to gain fame for a few seconds or create a dreary atmosphere. It needs to stop, and the community needs to actually support the theme with artwork and other creative things, promptly displayed for all to see.

Possibly, but that's not set in stone. We know that like all story themes it's initially planned for a three year run, but if it's doing decent it can go on for longer.

No. TLR is universally panned by BIONICLE fans, and if you think it was better than JtO then you're heavily blinded by nostalgia.

Predictable plot? The bad guy winning seems like a departure from HF and most LEGO themes. It seems your expectations might have been too high from my point of view. The plot itself was fine for a child's TV series that wasn't planned to have more than four episodes. It was a lot more interesting than some of HF's mini-movies (no disrespect to HF, of course).

I don't understand why some don't like JtO. I thought it was one of the better visual media to come from BIONICLE. It was certainly better than TLR and the third Miramax movie. Umarak's characterization was great, and for the most part the animation and artstyle was fantastic to look at. The only thing holding it back from being the best BIONICLE media ever released is the fact that they haven't turned it into a full-fledged 20-30 episode multi-seasoned show.

That's literally the whole point. It's supposed to be venomous looking. It's not supposed to be pretty for all you MOCers out there, it's meant to look disgusting and corrupted, because it is. No one complained about the infected Hau back in the day. #CollectorMasterRace #MOCerPeasants

It's impossible for Ekimu's shield to be attached to the arm the way it is. It's literally sitting on top of a shell.

There is a really bad set, and that set is Lava beast. These sets just seem to slap piece on like a lot of Hero Factory sets, as opposed to using them to make shapes like the 2015 and 2016 Toa. It really upsets me that we're taking a step back like this.

I'm not completely dismissing his thoughts. Perhaps my knack for being outwardly opinionated is my "Achilles heel". Even then, I believe it important that it's known that I disagree with the majority of the criticism these sets have received. Then again maybe I hold a grudge after he claimed that my thoughts on Tahu were invalid because he "had the set in hand". I admit my remark was childish, but my grudge is satisfied nonetheless. Acting like having the set in hand dismisses any point a person has for why they think a set is good just isn't right. It shouldn't be done.

I disagree. I think it's creative and still works well. I happen to have Lewa. Also, your view points on Tahu? Yeah, I disagree with those too, and I have the set in hand, and he's pretty much the best Toa of Fire I've ever had the pleasure of owning. The view points of most reviewers just seems to be a bunch of cynicism, since these sets are overall more fun to play with and better looking than the 2015 Toa. The 2015 Toa were great, but I've been seeing the same shell design year after year since I also liked HF. I wanted this change, and I hope LEGO continues to move in this direction. :D

Ryder Windham confirmed that the G2 BIONICLE characters are biomechanical. Meaning that they're both biological while having mechanical components. This was also confirmed in the animations upon finding out that the title of Protector was passed down from father to son. Reproduction confirmed right there. Then there's the fact that the Protectors we see laying Ekimu to rest have all died and the ones that call the Toa are their descendants, to further solidify reproduction and the biomechanical nature of the inhabitants of Okoto. "Robots" is the incorrect terminology for beings that are both mechanical yet made up of biological tissues and capable of various biological functions
