Haha! This made my day, Bucket of Bricks (LEGO pun ) especially!

You just went up like 20 points on my Respect Meter.

Same here. I was going to participate in the HERO fan story thread, but I think that may've died before it even started... Aagh, this is crazy, I'm already working on a large S.T.E.E.L. MOC.

Nikolas is a freelancer who only truly trusts S.T.E.E.L., but does have dealings with the other factions. -Chings kidnapped/murdered his father. -Rats allowed it to happen. Plus, the STEEL philosophy of material re-use and creative design matches his (and my) personality.

Thanks Computerbug, that's what I was trying to say exactly. I made the comic as a side-MOC based on the universe but not necessariuly as part of the game's story. I'll probably do what you said, making the occasional comic or MOC when a scene is interesting/doable with my collection. Thanks for all the clarifying SWCG info Jim and simon, that's really helpful for explaining the game's intentions.

I didn't mean to say that I expected the entirety of the story to be told in comics, I did expect mostly text. I meant to ask if it was like SWCG, which is to my memory a combination of text and comics... I may be wrong though, having only just started to read through SWCG.

Hey look, I'm a trendsetter! Thank you! It took me about 5 minutes to build the set, 10 to pose, and about an hour to caption and post.

Mini 4x4 protoype
Steel Dragon replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow, this is really cool! I'm not a big Technic fan, but if this were a set I would definitely buy at least 3! I know the main wonder is the drive, but I think the colorscheme is very impressive as well. The gearwork to achieve the steering and tilting is very clever also. Great work , keep on... Gearing? -
Just posted this. Is this how we're going to do most of the game, like SWCG?

Rock Monster Keyring Removal Procedure
Steel Dragon replied to Siegfried's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Minifigure keyrings are usually glued (all of mine are, at least), but the arms, hands and legs (not hips) are all removable. -
Bought the Gold Heist space police set, and traded with another Fan of Lego in my town for some bangin' classic pieces (large Blacktron wall panels+corner window )!

If you have a LEGO store with a Pick-a-Brick wall nearby, I'm almost certain they always carry grass and flower pieces. The last time I was at mine, I got some 2x4 green bricks which coud be usefull to you for hedges. Gazebo looks great... am I correct in assuming you have the Orient Expedition hot air balloon?

Hear Hear! Great to have you aboard AwesomeStar! Have you chosen your faction yet?

Steel Dragon replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Same. I plan to pick up at least one Coin Bank for that glowing octopus. -
I like it! One doesn't usually associate cannons and Crownies, but you pull it off very well!

Have you seen this cool photography method
Steel Dragon replied to Badsneaker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Reacted Plaster of Paris, actually... I saw these through Gizmodo a while ago, and the one with the burning Astromech was my wallpaper for a while. Great find! -
Welcome to EB! I am v-e-r-y jealous of your Pirate and Castle collections. Your tabletown is impressive, too.

At first the lime bugged me, but then I realized that a revamp of Insectoids would probably have lime green. So congratulations, you're a visionary!

S.T.E.E.L. rocks! I'm working on my picture right now, should be up today or tomorrow.

Okay, here's my bio: Nikolas Hunt +++ Image in Virtu-net transit. Upload ref#360H77350. Have a STEELY day. +++ Faction: S.T.E.E.L. Occupation: Experimental Weapons Developer, Amateur Hacker Gender: Male Age: 22 Bio Born on Terrel Island, Nikolas recieved the N.E.R.V.A. chip when he was 19. His father, a freelance hacker who occasionally worked with the R.A.T.S., realized very soon what the N.E.R.V.A. system was really for and decided to intervene. He brought Nik to a RAT friend of his who specialized in cybernetics to have the chip removed. His timing was terrible, and halfway through the operation the RAT base was raided by Ching agents. Nikolas was pulled out of the operation prematurely, resulting in spinal damages which led to neck-down paralysis. When the dust settled after the raid, Nikolas and only a handful of RATs, including the cyberneticist, were left. He was hauled back onto the table, where he kept his N.E.R.V.A. and gained a cybernetic spine amplification. Able to walk again, Nikolas and the RATs patched the spine into his N.E.R.V.A. chip, allowing him to control it and anything he plugged in to the power strip now running down his back. With a new gadget and a thirst for vengeance, he set off to find his father. In the four years since, Nikolas has developed a number of "backpacks" which he can attach to his N.E.R.V.A.-spine, including a short-lived experimental jetpack and a third, mechanical arm. His spine can occasionally lose power or malfunction, leading to temporary paralysis from the neck down. Nikolas has also become obsessed with memories and their retention, keeping all his memories safe on a database at home away from Ching hands. In a scuffle with Ching agents, Nikolas lost his left leg. This was replaced by a cybernetic prosthetic, making him somewhere around 7% machine. Nikolas owns the underground store "FirePower", serving RATs, STEELs and pirates with state-of-the-art experimental weapons.
