Main Buildings for a Lego Town

I'm getting my thoughts and ideas together for a town layout too. What era is your town? Before cars and planes? Modern 21st century? Something in between or a combination?

    Peeling sticker fix

That's amazing that modern stickers lift so quickly. I've got stickers on bricks from the 1970s that aren't even looking like lifting.

Bricklink or Lego Pick a Brick?

I've been using Bricklink since 2008 and have had no real problems. You have to do your homework of course and not be afraid to ask questions. I've had occasions where I don't get a reply but all that means is that seller misses out on a sale and perhaps future business. There's not a huge market here in Australia for vintage sets/parts so most of what I have bought has been from UK and various countries in Europe. Postage varies wildly from country to country so if in doubt ask for a postage quote.

    Show off your LEGO collection!

Here's my collection, resurrected, from when I came out of my dark ages in 2008. I've added a few sets since then

    Storage and Sorting LEGO

I don't have a huge amount of lego. It all fits in a 60 litre tub. I have six chinese food containers (the plastic ones with a lid) in the big tub that have certain parts (tiles, 1x1 round bricks, signs, 1x1 plates, roof peaks etc.) in them, just so they're easier to find when I'm building. The rest is loose in the tub. There's only the 5 main colours that we had for bricks and plates in the mid 1970s, plus trans clear bricks and the odd grey plate so it's nice and simple for me to pick the colours I want !! haha

    Hello from Australia

Hello everyone, My name is Robert. I am 46 years old so I'm certainly an AFOL I'm from Australia and have been into lego since my father bought me my first set in 1974. My collection is comprised, with rare exception, of sets issued between 1972 and 1976. There's an essay sized story on why this is so, which will become more clear as I post. Looking forward to interacting with you all and 3 cheers for the greatest toy ever invented !!
