    Evil Stevie's Pirate Game

Awesome, that would be great. Do you know where GenCon is held, because most of the pictures I've seen of ESPG are from 2003-2005 GenCons...might be worth attending!

    Evil Stevie's Pirate Game

Like the rest of us here, I am a huge fan of LEGO pirates, and thus, I eventually ended up at the main page of Evil Stevie's Pirate Game. The game seems like loads of fun; the rules are a bit outdated, but a few tweaks would help revitalize them. In any case, I was wondering if there are people out there that are still playing this game, because most of the links I've found just lead to 404 error pages. I like gaming in general, so when you combine LEGO, pirates, and gaming, my mouth starts watering. I ran a few little scenarios at home, to experiment with the game mechanics, but it's no fun without other players. And also, my limited LEGO resources could not support a full-fledged game, or even a small one. So does anyone here still play ESPG? If so, I would love to get involved in a game. If not, would it be possible for someone with lots of pirate LEGO to help organize a game? I'd be happy to help plan the event. I live in the SF Bay Area, I'm 16, and I'm itching to start pillaging. Of course, if this game is dead, then I'll just leave it lie. If this is the case, don't hesitate to tell me.

    Eis Pirat

Amazing! I love the use of the droid legs in the cafe fencing and the Indy whips as decoration.

    6243 Brickbeard's Bounty color choice

My bad, I'm new to posting and I wasn't sure if my mod counted as an MOC. Sorry!

    6243 Brickbeard's Bounty color choice

Hi guys. After seeing the soon-to-be-released Imperial Flagship, I decided Brickbeard's Bounty needed a mod or two to get ready for her upcoming battle. I saw a mod on the forum a while ago by Rick I think, where he added a deck to the Bounty in tan plates. I modded it similarly, by adding a deck, but I used brown plates rather than tan and raised the rails a stud's height. But the rails are the main problem: I can't decide on a color for them! I've come down to two available colors: brown and black. Here are some pictures of either choice: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Francis-...es/img_1298.jpg This is with the brown 1x1 cylinders. I think it matches the pattern of the hull better. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Francis-...es/img_1299.jpg This is with black. I think THIS one matches the other rails better. Now for a side view of each: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Francis-...es/img_1297.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Francis-...es/img_1301.jpg Now there's two more factors for me to consider in making my choice: (a) if I use the brown bricks, I have a healthy stock of black bricks to use as cannonballs. (b) if I use the black bricks, I have plenty of brown bricks to make small palm trees with. I know it's shameful how few bricks I have, but that's my situation. Any tips on which I should choose? Also, if you can think of a completely different color scheme for the rails, please let me know, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance

    6243 Brickbeard's Bounty color choice

That's what I thought too. Dark red might look pretty cool (where would I find 16 maroon bricks? ), but i think that the total black matches the other rails better. My pictures are blurry, but the place where the rail meets the black arches on the cabin front looks really cool in black. And in terms of having enough black bricks, I should just place a PaB order. Thanks for the tips, guys!

    MOD: 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty gets a deck

I liked the idea of adding a deck, so I tried it on mine...for the record, I did not use the same parts you did or even the same technique. I built the deck with brown so it matched the hull and used 1x1 cylinders to support the side rails instead of stacking the little black studs. I'm quite pleased with the results, except for the fact that my interior structure was a bit shoddy. Nothing pretty to look at, but I hope to change it. If I can think of a good way, I'll try to add a forepeak hatch to the bow where I can store cargo. That would be cool. Let me know if you would like to see pictures.

Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!

I would really, really like to see a Lego scabbard. A sheath or something for officers/captains would help in making them look more distinguished. And quite frankly, nothing looks cooler than a sword hanging from the belt of a pirate who's swinging on a rope into battle. Perhaps you could modify the Indiana Jones handbag, keep the strap but replace the bag with a sheath for a cutlass. Come to think of it, a full scabbard might be awkward; it would be a bit bulky to fit the full cutlass inside. Another idea i had, from looking at Playmobil, is to simply have a little frog for the sword to slide through. If you look at Playmobil scabbards, it's basically just a baldric (shoulder strap) with a little loop for the sword. This is surprisingly practical, and does not hamper the movement of the figures. Just an idea.
