  3. I partially built the module in real bricks and it works perfectly. The roof opens and closes without any problems. I also experimented a bit in LDD: If I remove the part 2540 plate 1x2 w. stick, I can close the roof as intended. After reattaching the part 2540, the roof can not be turned in any way, opening is not possible. The same goes if 2540 is replaced by any other plate, no movement possible. Maybe a bug? You could also just place a 2x3 plate between 44570 roof and 4345 mailbox and 4864 wallelement.

  5. It does not work 100%, though. Most of the time, the browser on the right panel shows nothing/is just black, and clicking on links there (if there is something) has no effect. Also, the font on the interface (buttons, tool tips, etc.) is difficult to read. Aside from that, it works quite well. Anyway, here is another one: 6812 - Grid Trekkor - Theme: Space, Blacktron II Download here. Errors: - Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Wheels White is not available in LDD, replaced them with Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Wheels Holder and Wheel 8mm D. x 6mm - The balloon tyres could not be fitted onto the aformentioned replacement. - No decorations.
  6. Hello everyone, just recently discovered LDD and even managed to make it run on my Linux box (via Wine). So here is my first official set made in LDD: 6851 - Tri-Wheeled Tyrax - Theme: Space, Blacktron II Download here. It should be complete, except for the decorations of course. If a part has a wrong color, please tell me and I'll correct it. Update: Colors of transparent parts corrected. Update II:Re-checked the .lxf file and original instructions and found following error/modification: - Brick, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin and No Axle Hole replaced by Brick, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin and Axle Hole.

    MOC: Split-Engine "Sparrow"

Oh, wow! This is really a great plane you build there, Daedalus304. The overall design reminds me a lot of the Lockheed P-38 while beeing quite different at the same time. And I agree with KielDaMan that the bent engines are really something special. Very well done.

    MOC:Brunhild

For the most part this is quite a nice design. I really like the engine and the cockpit. But not the wings. They could be a bit shorter and angled to make them more streamlined. The grey yellow color scheme is very nice, though.

    What did you buy today?

Went to the local Lego shop to pick up: 40008 Snowman Building Set 2x 40009 Holiday Building Set 1x 40010 Santa With Sleigh Building Set 2x 40012 Halloween Pumpkin 2x 40013 Halloween Ghost 2x 40014 Halloween Bat 2x 852544 Pirate Captain Key Chain 1x 852543 Pirates Magnet Set 1x The Halloween sets were 3 for the price of ~2,5 (one set 1,99€, three sets 4,99€, do your math) and the Magnet set was 50% off because I spent more than 30€.

    Galaxy Patrol

Some very interesting designs I really like this mecha. It looks a lot like the Ultra Drill Walker from the Mars Mission line. This looks also very nice, although maybe a bit to fragile for a police ship. That was my first thought when I saw it, too. The similarity is so conspicious, it can't be a coincidence, imho. Thanks for sharing these pics, the inventor.

The LEGO Group Wants to Hear From You!

My vote for less stickers, more printed parts. And for boxes I don't have to rip, and therefor destroy, to open them. Also for more adult oriented sets (whatever that may mean).

    MOC: The Final Weapon

Nice MOC, lisqr. I like the grey and orange color scheme and the details you put in it. But in general it does not look very cannon like to me. It reminds me more of one of the LHC experiments like ATLAS or CMS. Not exactly of course, more in a general way.

    MOC - Originator

Nice ship. I really like how you designed the front. The two cabins in the big UFO-parts are very well done and have some nice details. The big showroom is also great but your weapons collection is just awesome. The black orange color scheme is also very appealling to me, although it seems to lack a discernable pattern.

    [MOC] FPA RS-41 "Dragonfly"

Hello Everyone. I'd like to share with you my latest MOC, the RS-41 "Dragonfly" The "Dragonfly" is a surveillance and reconnaissance spacecraft used by the Free Planets Alliance Forces. It was developed by Experimental Design Bureau 51 "Yang" (location classified) and is produced by EL Facil Small Craft on El Facil and Anaheim Electronics on various locations. The RS-41 is powered by a Mr. Fusion FR-009 nuclear fusion reactor and propelled by seven Korolev IE-7 ion engines for spaceflight and two General Engines JE55A4 jet engines for atmospheric operations. Although it is designed for atmospheric conditions, the RS-41 cannot enter planetary atmospheres by itself, but has to rely on other means of transportation. When in full operational mode, the antenna mast is raised and the three dishes are aligned as needed. The two big main antennaes can point to almost any direction. On non-atmospheric conditions, as in space, on planetoids or moons etc., both mobile and stationary operation is possible, however on atmospheric conditions only stationary operation is possible. The cockpit can detach from the main hull in emergencies or when the pilot/operator wants to return to a nearby supply base or ship. When left by the operator, the RS-41 is controlled by an AI of classified abilities. However, autonomous operation of the RS-41 is only advised when it is stationed on any kind of celestial body (planets, moons, asteroids, etc.), in a stable orbit or at a Lagrangian Point. There are more pics on my Brickshelf Update: Now with LDD4 file. Download it here: firefly.lxf Had to make some adjustments on the engine, for LDD does not allow for certain connections, it seems. Comments and critiques are very welcome.

    [MOC] FPA RS-41 "Dragonfly"

I only employ ladies to pilot my ships. It's a matter of personal preference. Too bad there are only a few individual female faces, or females in general in Lego (licensed stuff not counting). Hm, Insectoids was during my dark ages, so I hardly know anything about them. But based on pictures I saw on Brickset, I'm not sure I would have liked them. However, they do have some great Minifigs. Thanks for the comments and suggestions, TheWarden. I will try to use some of them on my next project (trans colors and wings, not so sure about greebles). Hm, isn't VOAT variant a case of RAS syndrome?

    [MOC] RF-23 Barracuda

A really nice and unique design for a starfighter. Very well done, Stefan. The cockpit interior is really great and quite detailed for such a small space. I also like the engines and the fine details - the "greebles", as they are called - very much. The only thing that feels a bit odd to me is the long brick on the front. To my eyes, the blockyness of it somehow doesn't really fit to the sleek design of the rest of the ship.

    Night Striker

This is a really nice design. The front part looks a bit like a radial engine, which is great. I also like the guns very much and the propellers in push configuration. Very well done Fire-storm.

    What are you reading?

I am reading "The Greatest Show on Earth - The Evidence for Evolution" by Richard Dawkins. Next on my list are "The Extended Phenotype - The Long Reach of the Gene" by the same author and, for the odd reason I never read it before, the classic "On the Origin of Species" by, uhm, that bearded guy, keep forgetting his name ...
