Reminds me more of Jayko, actually

They could make even more cool space ideas and various space professions. This is the first time it really hurts they lowered the number of minifigures. I think they should do 16 at least for this series.
I would have loved that. As a long time fan of LEGO Space 12 for this particular theme isn't enough.
Definitely. So many possibilities for throw-backs, tributes, unique originals, re-colours of both vintage & recent.

Better call the police!
If they're not final images, they're not far off them.

Definitely. And I said something similar a few years ago, while also wanting other (unspecified?) brown-ish colours. They made two!

At least "Classic Space" is easy to define as a single subtheme, unlike "Classic Castle" which has no clear lines, really. Everything transitioned within existing factions.
.
Regarding this rumoured set, I also thought that the Blacktron II torso could be a 'clue', with either a BII or SPII ship coming. The reason I think Blacktron I is a bit unlikely, is because we already got one of those, and it's not like TLG is pumping dozens of these actual-Space sets out for us. I'd welcome it, of course, but I think we'll get something else.

Everyone wants the 70s helmet in new colours, but I actually want the 80s helmet in brown (and dark pink)! I always immediately swap Classic helmets for the better one and stick a visor on it, (never liked the bucket helmet,) but the brown ones still don't have a proper helmet.
I just posted about this release's pics in a different thread... not sure what it was, it seemed that people were talking about these? Would've been better in here, oh well

No airtanks in new colours. No Classic torsos in new colours. A bit of a letdown from what you'd expect of a "Space CMF series" really. 4 or 5 worthwhile... such wasted potential. However, I usually only find 2-4 useful from a normal series of 16, so I guess it's a win?

Thanks for sharing these videos, it's an amazing build! Really interesting to see the process.

I love monorails & rollercoasters. I live nowhere near either, sadly.

Sure that I'll like some, but will have to wait and see them

That only happens if they produce & release all of the copies in one go, and never stock up. Why would they do that? Are other non-exclusive sets sold out on day one, never to return? I'd think not often.
-
It will be "fair again" when they stop using blind packaging altogether, and go back to selling cheap "impulse" polybags or boxes with pictures of what is inside. What they did for decades before 2011.
The prices should come right back down.
Just put a limit of 3 of each per customer per day to prevent hoarders from buying them all at once.

I don't. Several minifigs I've looked for in recent times have not had their helmet included in their inventory, (which is irritating) and you need to get them separately (also irritating).
-
armour/helmet+shield+weapon+cape=knight
What should the minifig include for kids to look at it and say "that is a lord"?
-
I want a Gondor army, not more fekn Rohirrim

Not overly keen on the goat man's torso print, the woolly vest thing looks weird and abrupt. Otherwise I'd be all over it.
Harpy is a harpy. 1 or 2.
Basil the
RatBat is great, 1, 2 or 3 depending on the price.Barbie looks great, I'd like a few of those to team up with the vikings.

Not sure if anyone else said anything before, (and I haven't looked at the pirates ones to compare,) but I only just noticed that this set box says "12+" where the previous sets (Galaxy Explorer, Blacktron Cruiser, Lion Knight's Castle, Forest Hideout) all said "18 years and up"
-
A bit of jumping to conclusions going on...
Most likely it's just a bunch of more brickheads (or busts). A full wave of minifig-scale sets based on the 20 year old movies would be very much out of left field.
-
Oh, so I now see this is a licenced theme (and why I couldn't find it anywhere else on the forum). I've never heard of it before, I saw the sets on Lego website and thought "Whoa! They've finally made Neo-Fabuland!" but I suppose not really
-
My order arrived today, this set looks so underwhelming. Besides the nostalgia trip, (which I get when looking at images and my old stuff anyway,) the only redeeming (but not enough) factor is the existence of the torso print. And plenty of folks have pointed out that it's not really a great one. I'm just glad that it exists 'again' for potential reuse elsewhere. More new old dragon knights would be great, even if the helmet & adornments aren't as cool as the originals. Worst bit (of many): they can print a torso but not a shield? So weird.
At least it was free, and this time I didn't have to buy anything I didn't want, to get to the threshold. But the Blacktron & Forest sets were really good! I guess you can't smash it every time.
-
The model might be interesting, but not going to win me over in that boring colour scheme.
If they're not going to make a proper space shuttle, go the whole hog and give it cool colours!

The only Unitron set released outside NA was the monorail 6991, and there was nothing in our catalogue about them, just the picture of that set with Spyrius robots attacking it. So we had to just make it up (which is what children used to do in the old days anyway), and figured they were just the new Futuron equivalent (although nothing else came of them in the years following to boost that thought). Not that anyone I knew got that set, it was too expensive, haha. But there was a lone Unitron minifig in the 6705 set, so they weren't completely absent.
-
The one photo I've seen tells me this is more Space than City Space has ever been, but it is still not Space enough for me. I'll Bricklink the minifigs.
More interesting colour schemes & use of translucent elements is desired and not present.

Everything I want is always out of stock when there's a promotion. Ever since we got our own separate warehouse. Before that, (when it came from Denmark,) the free postage threshold was higher, and it took a week longer for your order to arrive, but at least most sets were purchasable at any time. I wanted the Viking Village. Can't even back-order it!

I finally found the picture everyone has been talking about all year... probably not my thing, I passed on the previous version (very expensive set for the time, and only had 2 knights). I don't really care about the civilian angle of this theme. Might just hunt down some minifigs and save some money for the other sets mentioned just above
