[MOD/MOC] Derelict Republic Gunship / Smuggler's hideout

What to do when you only collect Original Trilogy related Star Wars sets and you get an original Republic Gunship in a bulk lot with no figures, decayed stickers and a good proportion of parts missing? 

Modify it into an OT era derelict smuggler's shack hideout complete with repurposed primary wing cannon defence turret.

This would fit right in to the OT.  Great way to re-purpose an incomplete set.
