Vadim Unimogovich Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I present to your attention my new MOC - Mitsubishi Evo IX. I really like original car, that was the reason to built it in Lego version. In the first version of my machine was two speed gearbox, but I decided to remove it. Due to the heavy weight of the body, electronic parts and old receivers (V1), the machine even with 2 buggy motors drives badly. The model was built to Ukrainian Brick Fest 2014. Features / Functions: 1. Four-wheel drive through a center differential from slow outputs of two buggy motors. 2. Two receivers V1 3. Lockable central differential by M-motor. 4. Fully independent suspension. 5. Opening doors and trunk. 6. You can easily remove the battery boxes. 7. Steering with auto-reset by M-motor. Thank you for watching! Quote
Zerobricks Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Is the central diff lock necessary? You might loose some mass there Other than that it looks awesome, when's the video due? Quote
Balrog Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 While I am sure, that this car is better built than anything I have come up with for myself, I think it doesn't resemble the Mitsubishi Evo IX much. The front is what defines the car the most, and this one is missing a lot of the iconic look of the Evo IX. If I were you, these shapes would drive me nuts I guess the only chance would be to "hint" the shapes with flex axles. Just like Sheepo did with the GT500. Quote
Lakop Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I agree with Balrog about the looks but it's a great build of a car with 4wd, well packaged battery packs and all the nice features. A bit more work on the front, maybe make it longer, lower and curvier. Would love to see a video of it in action. H Quote
Rishab N Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Great car and nice job getting all the functions in there. However I agree with the other users on how it doesn't look much like an evo Quote
Dunkslegos Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 i love this moc. it does need a LITTLE work on the front. love the suspension, 4WD, and all those cool functions. Nice size for it too. but i would like to see a video of it in action please! Quote
