I think is time to separate the line and make it additional more accurate sets like is going on on other lines . like the daily bugle or ninjago city sets ! maybe a UCS fire truck , UCS airport or UCS train station would do good health to the city line ! TeriXeri Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 (edited) Not sure how a UCS City line would work, of course they can make 6-8 wides with a lot more detail (small pieces) but if they go the way like LEGO did with Speed Champions, they won't really be City anymore. I'm not saying that the 8-wide Speed Champion move was a bad one, a lot of people love the details for collection, but for many they became too big for City. Now, I would of course 100% support more detailed City sets, especially in terms of Helicopters and Airplanes, the aspect of brick-built has faded away quite a bit with the constant use of those rounded large parts, I wouldn't mind more options of slopes and angled windows in an "adult" city line. The Fairground Mixer set was one of the few Creator Expert sets without vintage vehicles, and yes those were detailed : I don't want City sets (even for higher age group) to turn into a licensed theme using real life vehicle manufacturers however. As for Buildings, I'd personally, would like to see more detailed City buildings under 3-in-1 (like the Bike Shop and Cafe scale) , still detailed but not simply another line of Modulars. I may be wrong tho! yes exactly ! something in high details and a little more expensive since that is the tendency with the latest sets , so maybe a Ultimate Collector Series American fire truck would be a good start for this line . also , stepping up the ninjago city line as a only city sets would do good for the market since ninjago is in such high demand , something like a ninjago city airport or ninjago city train station with asian ninjago style trains , cars and passenger planes would be good for one year . I feel like honestly City theme has done an okay job lately at maintaining for more complex aircraft building techniques in addition to simpler ones. After all, aside from 4+ sets, single-person planes, helicopters, and ultralights like in 60183 or 60289) still usually have around the same level of complexity as their equivalents from 80s or 90s. And there are many larger City aircraft that use a mix of specialized parts and brick-built solutions, like 60281 (which uses large curved elements for the nose but a brick-built tail), or even occasional ones that employ a more brick-built approach for the entire build, like in 60209. The more specialized nose pieces have mostly been reserved for aircraft with 8-wide or 6-wide fuselages, and I can't say I'm all that bothered by that, considering that before their introduction, believable aircraft sets that size seemingly weren't even viable at a Town/City age range. When I was growing up in the 90s, jet aircraft sets with seating for a pilot AND co-pilot (or even with realistic aisles and doors for passengers) were unheard of outside "advanced" themes like Technic and Model Team! I don't think it'd be unlikely to see sets like that again in the future — after all, the main reason we haven't seen houses that size in recent years is just that over the past few years is that a house that size would need a relatively high price point, and lately LEGO has been using those price points for different types of sets like the Medieval Castle, Ferris Wheel, Pirate Ship, Caravan Family Holiday, Townhouse Pet Shop & Cafe, etc. The last time there was a suburban-style house at a price point that high was the Modular Family Villa in 2017, which was comparable in size to those earlier houses, but controversial among a lot of folks due to its open-backed design. Even so, I doubt LEGO has any real opposition to releasing suburban-style homes at that sort of price point on occasion in the future — it's just that the focus on more varied subject matter in recent years has given them less frequent opportunities for Creator houses that size than in the past. TeriXeri Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Closest thing to a "Creator Style" House in the future probably will be the Home Alone IDEAS set. Quote
TeriXeri Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) Since there are new Tractor Tyres, a new Construction Bucket on the same Tractor set, a 4+ Roadworks truck, I think 2022 would be due for a non-4+ large Construction/Roadworks set. It would fit perfectly with the new road plates , like the Skate Park was built on top of roads. Could have an excavator, dump truck, road roller or cement mixer, some signs, tools and maybe some animal (City had lots of dogs recently so maybe a Cat this time) Edited June 21, 2021 by TeriXeri Quote

Recently, I've been only collecting older vehicles with some exceptions such as the sports car, camper and auto transport. But if I see a bendy bus, I'll be at the store quicker than one can tell me no. Quote
TeriXeri Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 (edited) While there was a harvester in 2018, I'd love to see a new Combine Harvester with at least a trailer to connect onto the 2021 Tractor . Also the 2018 Harvester was smaller and used blades , I think the front design was meant for Corn while the 2009 version was more proper for Grain/Wheat etc. Farm might be getting a bit more popular with the new Amazon series, at least for AFOL. Lion King Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 It looks like there is no farming subtheme next year but there would be a Horse Transporter set. So - I would love to drop my ideas for farming here: 1.) Farm Barn (with a hay tower) 2.) Horse (or Pig) Stable 3.) Pickup Truck (similar to Creator Expert’s Pickup Truck) 4.) Hay Transporter 5.) Buildable Cornsfield with scarecrow minifigure 6.) Herding Sheep (with sheepdog) 7.) Family’s Farm House (contrast to Family House) 8.) Chicken/Hen Coop 9.) Tractor Transporter Also, I have some ideas for farm animals I would hope to get: 1.) Cow 2.) Sheepdog 3.) Rooster 4.) Goat 5.) Recolored sheep 6.) Foal (baby horse) 7.) Calf (baby cow) 8.) Donkey 9.) Chicks whew, I think I have everhting I put in here! I gues i will start to sing “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” song! Quote
Driver Brandon Grumman Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 @DBlegonerd7 Great farming ideas. Just like the farming subtheme, here are my ideas for public transit. Ones that are most likely are in bold. 1.) A bike sharing service like the ones you'd see in DC and other metropolises. 2.) A small taxi station that includes a wash, small repair bay and refueling area 3.) A repair shop for transit vehicles which could include a service truck. 4.) A self driving bus set with some frantic spectators and passengers. The bus is going rogue in this set. 5.) An electric bus set with a recharging station 6.) A coach bus service set with some trees and sightseers. 7.) An uptown bus set with a bendy bus. Piece count would probably be similar to the downtown fire brigade set from 2019. 8.) A local passenger service set with a regular sized diesel powered bus set. 9.) A short line service set with a mini transit bus. 10.) A shuttle/paratransit service set with a small shuttle bus and a handicapped passenger. 11.) As the base set, a transit terminal that's basically the 7997 train station with a road baseplate with bus stop on the other side. 12.) A commuter train 13.) A transit workers committee people pack. 14.) A 4+ set that's pre school version of set number 8. Quote
Lion King Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Since we have some existing animal molds, such as lions, elephants, monkeys, bears, and so on. I have some zoo ideas. 1.) Lion Den Exhibit with brick-buildable statue of lion outside enclosure 2.) Penguin Enclosure with brick-buildable “iceberg” on road plate 3.) Gorilla Transportor 4.) Zoo Gift Shop with panda toy 5.) Aviary with different birds and some palm trees 6.) Dolphin/Seal Showtime with some loop and ball and stadium 7.) Elephant/Rhino Exhibit with stable and savannah trees 8.) Panda Den with gentle rolling hill and ball 9.) Petting Zoo (?) 10.) Crocodile Statidum (tribute to Steve Irwin) 11.) Monkey Go Nuts Exhibhition with poop (it’s where monkeys could throw poop at guests…literally) 12.) Giraffe Transporter 13.) Tiger Escape with food court where tiger could eat some burger and scared guests running away from tiger….LOL Quote
Driver Brandon Grumman Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 (edited) I know these aren't sets but I have some ideas for City Adventures characters: Susie Boils - A water heater deliverer and installer Kim Thomas - one of the city's bus drivers Denise Letterman - a local postal worker who works for City Mail James Ford - a mechanic who works at the Octan Gas station and an avid car enthusiast Edited August 7, 2021 by Poodabricks Quote
