The designers are saving on budget by cutting corners on the building itself. Which I'm sure won't keep Lego from pricing that set 400-500 bucks, especially regarding the recent price rise across all themes. There's so much fun mini-builds that could come out of that, especially if they keep to the same 30s to 60s period era as the rest of the collection. Like, huge printing machines, pneumatic tube mail system across the building, etc... Yes. I jsut feel like the emptiness from inside (a street number of stories) consisting the facade bothers me a bit. If it’s a non-licesned taller building, I would imagine they won’t do 1.5-baseplate modualr building and give a fourth floor to that building as a skyscaper, such as apartment, office building, newspaper office, etc. i think it would stay at $300. True but it’s kinda annoying that they gave us newstander stand in Police Station and that kiosk corner GWP. As well as we have Newspaper Boy from CMF that can fit into 30s period. Come to think, I don’t get it why they don’t do newspaper office as 20th anniveary set as they are doing Daily Planet for DC next year. Regardless, I’m still glad that we will be getting clock tower if the leaks are true. Quote
