Maybe I misremember but i am pretty sure we talked about sand green pieces being brought back would be expesnive some months ago. I can’t rmeember which pieces, ignoring the price on PAB.

I think you're talking about the two sand green parts that were used for Green Grocer and went out of production for almost two decades. These became quite expensive because of their rarity, and the amount of each required for building GG. It was a surprise that Lego brought these two parts at all for Shopping Street, because there would probably be no use of them outside this modular. It would be more expensive in terms of production load than cost, I think. But then, there's so many factories around the world I guess it's no longer an issue.

Yes, those two sand green pieces we were talking about.  I guess that is not a reason why an extra $10 for a Hautned House set then.

I don't think no use for them outside the Green Grocer is really an adequate assessment—there's plenty of potential uses for them now that they're in production, in all sorts of themes. When it comes to a recolor of a basic part like that it's just a matter of one set or theme with the budget "taking the leap", so to speak, by deciding to use its budget for that instead of for something flashier or more impactful.

I like the idea of it.  I fear the portraits will be stickers though.

You're right and I hate stickers. 18+ sets shouldn't have them as well as their GWP attached to the 18+ sets.

That’s a sad reality as not all 18+ sets are sticker-free.  Modualr Buildigns are only the comfort for me.

Soooooooo it’s July and we are 5 or 6 months away from offical reveal.

Surely it’s under tight wraps, so there won’t be much leaks this summer.  But when I googled “2027 modular building Lego set” and AI mentieond fans voted hospital and post office.  I wonder where was that poll from.  But both hopsital and post office are great (and potential) choices for the 20th anniveary set, although it’s kinda odd that hopsital is not enabler “celebrate-y” with bunch of thrwobacks to previous modular buildings.

I suspect that it's said 'fans voted' to mean that there is a lot of chatter here, Reddit, and other places, about what people would like to see, rather than any formal vote.

It's AI, can not take anything as a fact unless you check the sources

If that AI was scrubbing data from reddit, then yeah hospital as a wish pops up often there. Post office less, I think most consider it boring. I believe a post office has more changes to appear as a side building instead of as a modular's main building.

Yeah, Definitley it’s fan-made polls.  It has me wonder it’s just interesting to see hopsital and post office popped up vai AI. It made me if Lego is looking for “high votes” for 20th anniveary set.  But it’s still not a fact.
