It's good that sets such as this one are keeping the parts like the shako and the epaulettes available. The same goes for the Spider Man ship that has the shooting cannon.

That figure looks to be the good basis for a Hussar uniform.

I found the minifigure series 29 in my local supermarket and bought a handful of boxes today. None of the apps had the series listed so far. At least none was working so I opened the boxes because I couldn't wait  One of them was the musician.

I'd say it holds up as a dress uniform for a sort of royal guard. Not really useful as battlefield attire.

But it sure is a beautiful minifig.
