jorgeopesi Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Watching all machinery sets that Lego has released I wonder, what kind of equipment would you like to have?. In my opinion a grader, a forwarder or a front shovel they would be perfect but to be more accurate and just choose one I would choose the grader, in fact I already have a front shovel . What do you think?. Quote
Phoxtane Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Off the top of my head, it'd certainly be interesting to see Lego produce a tunnel-boring machine. Quote
Hopey Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Off the top of my head, it'd certainly be interesting to see Lego produce a tunnel-boring machine. Wow, you read my mind. So I'm going to go with a bucket wheel excavator instead. Or a chainsaw. Quote
technicfan Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) A motor scraper, a RC Terex Titan or big mining truck that dumps like that, a Komatsu D575A replica, container super stacker and a skid steer. Edited January 19, 2013 by technicfan Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I'd say a road grader, forwarder, or forklift would be at the top of my list, but those are also mocs I'm working on too. At the rate I'm going though, LEGO would probably come out with one of these models before I do. Quote
OzBen Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 as technicfan said, a motor scraper would be at the top of my list. Perhaps with scraper blades that rotate when you push it and pick up lego bricks and dump them into the hopper in the rear. Quote
skylinedan Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 A grader would be cool, a scraper would be even better, and not so much an elevating type. I,d go for a Cat push pull. Dan Quote
Kierna Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Car transporter for minifig scale city cars maybe Quote
David83 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I'd like to see a CAT pan or grader, but I think they'll do an mk ii dozer before anything new....I'd also like to see a nice road tractor and lowboy trailer to haul the lego machinery Quote
lukeandahalf Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Road grader with wing plow gets my vote! they use them to clear snow here in Wintery Winnipeg. http://heg.baumpub.com/news/1158/the-ultimate-motor-grader-package-for-snow-fighting Quote
jorgeopesi Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 Road grader with wing plow gets my vote! they use them to clear snow here in Wintery Winnipeg. http://heg.baumpub.c...r-snow-fighting Then, a lot of yellow panels we need. I hope someone who work for Lego read this . Quote
rumpletump Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I have always wished for flagship road grader and dump truck sets. I would also like to see a concrete mixing truck. I realize that the mixing tank on the back would mean some special curved panels but I'm sure they can design some in such a way that they would have other uses for them.. Maybe a nice heavy duty steam roller too Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 as technicfan said, a motor scraper would be at the top of my list. Perhaps with scraper blades that rotate when you push it and pick up lego bricks and dump them into the hopper in the rear. That would be a brilliant set for LEGO to build. This could be built as a full RC machine with 4 motors: 2 L motors for drive (one at teach axle), and another motor to lower the scraper blade, and the last motor to dump the load. The rotating blades could be driven by one of the L motors that drives the wheels, and it could engage/disengage when scraper blades are lowered/raised. If LEGO designed it with the ability to pick up small LEGO parts like pins and bushings, the playability of this model would be huge! Another option is a front loading trash truck: This could also be a full PF model built with 4 motors and a gearbox. However, the high part count and the PF components would probably make this more expensive than any other Technic set. Quote
andythenorth Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) we need a flagship RC Dump truck +1 Town forum just had this minifig scale dump truck posted with full PF http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=78412 The biggest (400t) mining trucks wouldn't be right for a Technic set - something more this size would be better (using Unimog wheels). http://www.cat.com/cda/layout?m=483836&x=7 Edited January 19, 2013 by andythenorth Quote
Interceptor Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Regarding heavy machinery I would like to see a grader (pneumatic, yellow), scraper, dump truck (RC, 12 wheeled), front loading trash truck (like one in previous post), back loading trash truck (european style, orange), container loader (white, pneumatic), asphalt machinery, flagship tow truck (copressor & pneumatic), forklift, lowboy trailer, road roller, concentrate mixer. Regarding other themes I would like to see a new space ship, huge tractor with variable attachments, robotic arm, 3-wheeled motorcycle, detailed autoengine, flagship supercar with proper functions and in rare colour. I'm sure most of these will come true when I make MOC... Edited January 19, 2013 by Interceptor Quote
Jim Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) I would love a big PF Tower Crane! And I agree with the dump truck Edited January 19, 2013 by Gekke Ted Quote
davidmull Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Would love anything rc+pneumatic I think they need to produce new parts to make this work. Quote
shadowhearth Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Why we only want heavy machinery? Or thats the only thing we are allowed to like? +1 On that Quarry truck. thats a heavy machinery i would not mind to build! Maybe Garbage truck too. I am not a fan of heavy machinery, so i would like more 4X4 stuff or Dakar Rally machinery. What about normal cars too? It does not have to be Super cars all the time, but something like fast sedans - M5, Merc S class. Sports coupe? Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 A flagship telehandler with 4WD, suspension , raisable and extendable forks, or showel, etc... Quote
Tacker Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I Dont mind as long as its all to the same scale (cant be that hard can it) Quote
midengineaddict Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) A new crane would be cool, with PF pump and pneumatic... Edited January 19, 2013 by midengineaddict Quote

You are free to open a tread with the kind of machine you want on a Lego set, a car, a plane or a ship for example, I opened about heavy machinery because I like it. You can ask about what kind of car, a muscle car, a sport car or a allroad car I I'll be happy to answer it, not everything is heavy machinery but it is in this tread. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I would like to see a fully motorized Backhoe, crane or telehandler. But I will probably have built all of those before the lego group does. Quote
