sama Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I just found these amazing chassis on brickshelf (by Nathanael Kuipers). Medium sized Technic chassis with similar features as the Supercars, like full suspension, V8 piston engine, working steering wheel and 4-speed gearbox. Rear axle is driven with live axle suspension. HoG is included as well. Bodywork will follow. Some pics The rest are here. Quote
Meatman Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Cool! I love Nathanael's building style. Can't wait to see how his turns out. The wheels seem just a bit too narrow for the size. Or maybe it's just me. Quote
timslegos Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Looks cool! Are you sure this is a new project? tim Quote
Silcantar Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Looks cool! Are you sure this is a new project? tim Watermark says 2012, folder was created today. I'm really looking forward to this. It was Nathanael's Supercar that got me back into Technic. Quote
Paul Boratko Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 There is always something new to learn when Nathanaël builds a model, that is for sure... Quote
Technic Gearhead Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Very nice work - super compact and tidy and good techniques. I love how the frame rails hug that V8 nice and tight. It would be a bear to put headers on it. Quote

Sigh... just shows you how much you need Technic Frames these days, to do decent, compact studless models it's a shame Lego didn't create these frames 10 years ago! wish they were a bit cheaper on bricklink! Illuwatar Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Really like this - looks like a kit-car... Quote
rm8 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Compact car? Rear wheel drive with v8 and live axle. It is like pony car, ford mustang:) Quote
Rodeown Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 That is an amazingly tight build, I can learn alot from that. Quote
Zerobricks Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Really refined and compact! I love the accermann steering made with thise links! Quote
Silcantar Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Compact car? Rear wheel drive with v8 and live axle. It is like pony car, ford mustang:) Yep, this has got "pony car" written all over it. Judging by Nathanael's previous MOCs, though, it won't be a model of any specific car. Quote
sama Posted April 16, 2012 Author Posted April 16, 2012 Got some more updates! It looks like the body is coming along. Quote
DLuders Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 As Sama noted, there are now 23 pictures on Nathanael Kuipers (industrialdesigner) Brickshelf folder -- "Medium sized Technic car with similar features as bigger Supercars, like full suspension, V8 piston engine, working steering wheel and 4-speed gearbox. Rear axle is driven with live axle suspension. Has HoG steering as well. WiP." I wonder what kind of body he will place on it? Quote
Paul Boratko Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I can't wait to see this when it is completed... It's one of those models that you just know is going to be excellent.. Quote
88high Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I sure hope he makes some instructions for this model! It looks very many-featured and compact! Great Job Nathaniel Kupiers! Quote
fourlord Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Finaly finished recreating him in LDD from pictures :). It is 99% accurate since there is one brick missing from ldd. I dont think i can post lxf file here coz of copyrights. great model, cheers... Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 @ fourlord: Maybe you could get in touch with Nathanaël.. Quote
fourlord Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Well, i will continue to build the whole car. I will not contact him since i'm lazy and i think he will sell instructions instead of share but thats his business (maybe he will read this ;)). Quote
SNIPE Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) This MOC is so professional it looks like an official lego set/model. Thinking a TVR speed 12 style body in a dark colour would look nice. Edited April 17, 2012 by SNIPE Quote
fourlord Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Another update, and waiting for further progress... Quote
Paul Boratko Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) It is my pleasure to post the pics of Nathanael's Finished Model... MOC Pages Link Edited May 31, 2012 by Paul Boratko Quote
