Companion piece to my Red Baron MOC from yesterday. I went with Reddish Brown as the main color but the real thing is probably closer to dark green or dark brown but the part selection in those colors is much more limited compared to reddish brown.

Very authentic! maybe longer wings compared to the Baron but hey play scale and all that doesn't matter.

Virtually the moment I posted it I became extraordinarily unhappy with the design and completely overhauled it.

This version I was initially much happier with. Snot building allows me to not only get a more accurate color (dark green), but a more accurate shape as well.

Now my concern is scale. I've unfortunately never had the pleasure of seeing a Sopwith Camel in real life, so nailing the scale is harder than I would like. The fundamental problem with trying to get realistic scale in Lego is the fact that minfigures are simply not proportioned like a human being. What do you think? Is the scale good enough or is it distractingly big? Any ideas on how to scale it down?

Your Sopwith Camel looks great, even if it isn't exactly to scale. The thinner wings than the Fokker do better I think.

I redesigned it again because I wasn't happy with the shape. (I'm a perfectionist, I know...) and I've managed to slim it down and make the fuselage a little more accurate. What do you think? Is it an improvement?
