Because rear axle does use a ball joint piece as differential housing like on the jeep:). Quote
Jurss Posted yesterday at 03:56 AM Posted yesterday at 03:56 AM I'm afraid here will be created better (with front driven) version of it before official release :D Quote
Auroralampinen Posted yesterday at 04:54 AM Posted yesterday at 04:54 AM And since the HOG gear is off centered i feel like the steering is done using links:). Quote
steph77 Posted yesterday at 06:10 AM Posted yesterday at 06:10 AM (edited) This front axle is exact the same that the one ibuild for the pneumatic contest. I have some doubt tlg use it because of non respect of stability building rules. This is more à moc technic than an official one. Wait and see... Edit. Except perhaps if they use 4.5 l axle with a stop that avoid the wheel to pop out the universal joint... Edited yesterday at 06:12 AM by steph77 Quote

But when looking at the excessive use of SNOT techniques, which were unthinkable 10 years ago, maybe Lego is catching up here. Sacrifizing stability for mechanical complexety. 1 hour ago, Auroralampinen said: And since the HOG gear is off centered i feel like the steering is done using links:). Nice attempt, especially the steering! Another idea came to mind to use this connector sideways , where the pinhole in the middle is for the diff axle and one of the pins for the attachment to the shock absorbers. But then, the ball joint connection is not possible... mmh... Quote
Auroralampinen Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Ok, the 42242 licence plate says LT 42242. So is this model designer Lars Thygesen or is that just Lego Technic in short;). Quote

Auroralampinen Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) Ok, a little bit of tweaking the colors and zooming in. I think the unimog will have 4x4 drivetrain with differential on front axle. Because there is round dark bluish gray end shape(yellow arrow) a tan 12th bewel gear with red axle in the bewel gear axle hole(purple/pink arrow) plus a dark bluish gray bar/wall coming out of the round shape at the end(green arrow) so this model will be a really big/massive milestone for the most compact/smallest 4x4 drivetrain in technic history plus the first small offical technic build with 4x4 Edited 16 hours ago by Auroralampinen Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago It's nice to see something other than another car. It's great to see another pneumatic set too. Where is the pump? I was hoping for a proper successor to 8110, but given the 11+ age group and June release, this is about what I was expecting. Still, props to TLG for not giving us yet another car. Quote
