BarfolomewMog Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Hiya! Here is another Star Wars Battle Mech. This is loosely based on the Bignicle Frame by king_nack on Insta. Whilst doing some sorting I came across a minifig space armour with shoulder protection (part 72326). Initially I thought it would make a cool nose for a spaceship but one thing led to another and it ended up growing into a stormtrooper helmet instead. Minifig ski goggles are jammed in with a rubber band to help shape the shark mouth air vents while the eye assembly is cramped into position as well. Clips and bars hold it all together. I tried to I tried to keep the paneling as tight as I could in order to give him an athletic vibe. This meant that a lot of the frame is visible, especially around the hips but I felt it struck a good balance. Stability is a little tricky due to the narrow hips supporting the weight of the torso and shoulders but once you get positioning right he’s pretty solid. The Imperial Pizza Party was displayed at Brickvention '26 in January but the E11 stood by his side with stock extended to increase overall stability as protection from errant fingers. Hope you like it! Edited February 13 by BarfolomewMog photos didn't upload Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Your brick-built Stormtrooper head is absolutely amazing. At first I thought it was a molded piece. You've built a stunning mech. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Absolutely amazing! It's beautiful, it could be part of the Gundam saga! I find the boots perfect as well as the helmet! Quote

It had to fit over the minifig head as well as be able to open in a practical manner without being too flimsy. Lots of iterations until I was happy enough with the final result! The rubber band securing the ski goggles in place was a later addition and I was stoked when it worked as I was sick of the goggles falling out as soon as the head tilted too far forward haha On 2/14/2026 at 3:00 AM, _TLG_ said: this a cool Thanks, glad you like it! I thought adding pizza might be a fun way to display it. I like the Tusken Raider who is trying to hide after stealing some pizza. The boots were inspired by Murderbot and were actually the next thing I worked on after the helmet once I got some semblance of a frame together. Quote
