My Mercedes Actros 4x6 was born out of a bit of fun: the question was, could my tractor technology be installed in a 6x4 chassis?

Yes! All rear wheels are driven. As always, the Circuit Cube HUB is hidden in the driver's cab. In addition, there is the steering motor with worm gear reduction. The drive motor is located between the steering axle and the middle axle in the floor.

Since I don't yet have a suitable load for a heavy-duty tractor, even the Mercedes has to load normal trailers at my Modalohr terminal ;-)

Now thats some real fun right there, a very happy looking rig for sure.

edit: went off and watched a few of your videos and they are great to see, the translation is a little choppy sometimes but I got most of it.

Most of my older videos are automatically translated by YouTube, which results in a lot of nonsense.

For newer ones, I try to correct the German subtitle track, which improves the translation.

But it's really tedious sometimes. I don't want to retype everything either. Sometimes YouTube generates subtitles that I can correct. Sometimes it doesn't work...

There is no video for the Mercedes yet, but it will follow once my module is set up again....

Wow very nice! Great job with the looks too! Orange never looks bad!

The Circuit Cubes aren't lego, right? How do they perform? I have never heard of them.

Very recognizable. To motorize such a small model is truly impressive, I may want to try that myself. Where do you get your motors/ controller?

Thank You all!

I like the orange too. My playground is a concrete jungle, so a splash of color like that really works well!

Unfortunately, the two motors and the Bluetooth receiver with battery are not from Lego. I also experimented with the Lego micro motor in the steering, but the micro motor was too weak. The Circuit Cube controller only supplies 4.5V to the motors, which means that, in theory, a 9V Lego motor only runs at half power. All other parts are from Lego.

Performance:

Slow, squeaky, but powerful for its size!

I use them in trucks and in my KöF. But always because the Mocs are very small.

If you have space and need speed, you should use other engines.

In the EU: from BuildAMoc / Spain.

For other or all:

Website from Tenka / Circuit Cube USA

Technical insight: this was still the first attempt at a three-axle vehicle. The drive motor was later moved one stud further forward so that I didn't have to shorten a two stud axle.

And my fleet keeps growing (I still need more trailers to fully load my train ;-) )

I wanted to build something completely different again to add more variety and color to my layout. The basic idea for the tree trunks with the minifigure parts comes from Klaus / @eastpole77 on Flickr. Klaus had shown a wooden freight car featuring this idea at the NLGM 2024 in Wörrstadt:

NLGM Wörrstadt 2024

I thought that was great, so I picked up a few of those parts after the exhibition. They’d been sitting around at my place for nearly two years. And now the time had finally come: I built myself a timber truck for my truck loading setup:

Trailer Holztransport

(After taking the pictures, I removed another tree trunk. Someone pointed out that it would otherwise look too overload....)

I used my Tanktrailer base frame as the foundation. I extended this frame and modified its appearance so that it matches the prototype:

Timber transport vehicles from Benalu / Legras in Poland

Of course, I need the adjustable support column feature here too: This time, the control shaft runs upward through the central tree trunks, and the protruding branch serves as the knob for adjusting the column height ;-)

Color-wise, it goes well with my heavy-duty tractor: and it certainly provides the necessary traction on the forest trails...

I think Klaus's idea with the Minifig tree piece is brilliant—it really catches the eye! What do you think?

Amazing part usage, especially with the hidden mechanism inside! I also really like the red bars and the use of the thin Technic liftarms, it just looks right.

It's going to look great on the train cars too!

Thank You.

The credit for this probably goes to Klaus—it was his idea to use the tree trunks.

;-) I thought these items were a good fit, so I chose them.

I’m curious about that too; I’ll probably have to wait until late April or early May to see it for myself at the exhibition in Wörrstadt.

Awesome! I like the scale. Match perfect to the minifigure. The trailer with wood also looks great!

Thanks. Exactly: 1:45 is pretty much the “right” scale for me when it comes to Minifigures. That way, the trains and trucks look like they're all part of the same set and fit together.

That’s a really cool experiment! Fitting your tractor tech into a 6x4 chassis sounds challenging but fun. How did it handle the weight distribution and steering compared to the original 4x2 setup?

That was a surprise: without a trailer, the 6x4 tractor handles better than the 4x2 tractors. The 3-axle model has a tighter turning radius than the 2-axle models.

With a load on the drive wheels, the situation reverses: the 2-axle trucks handle better. The 3-axle truck doesn’t like to steer as much then. It works, but it’s not as agile as without a load. My heavy-duty tractor truck only likes light loads^^
