Have been to LEGO Land Billund more than a couple of times, but the LEGO House never appealed to me.

I have no clue, what the Green Dragon is.

The Dragon rollercoaster ride in Billund (and other parks) is also based on the original green dragon from 1993. It has become a sort of symbol for Legoland. In the question I was referring to the original dragon figure from the Dragon Knights that I think is super cool (the one that is pictured above).

Thank you both!!!

Well - hmm. It is almost studless, isn't it? I see 4 + the "anti-studs" below the feet ... it looks cool though, but this is not my world.

Again: Thank you very much! It looks really nice next to "a" (this is one you built, right?) also very nice castle.

The dragon is nice, just slightly past my own Castle prime days and it never had a special appeal to me.

btw what do you mean with the question about instructions being too dark? Do you have any example of what you mean?

This is an 20-year old example, but check out the UCS Batmobile from 2006's instruction, as they are almost totally unreadable in real and digital formats. Most instructions aren't too bad these days in comparison, but some are harder to read - especially when they are all black print with darker build colors!

Ohhh, I checked that Batmobile and I see the problem. They seem to have forgotten to add the white outline to the black parts that they normally do. Book 2 is the worst, seems to have been made on too dark settings and it really shows when having book 1 next to it.

If you look at the Icons ECTO-1, it's clear that it can be done better. This model uses a black background on pages and no issues to see and recognize black parts because of white outlines, and enough color difference with other dark colors (like dark gray).

Either way, that answers my question on what to vote for

As mentioned above I find many modern instruction booklets too dark. I recently compared SP1 (1989) instructions with F1 Speed Champions (2025) instructions. The F1 instructions are much darker and it is often difficult to see what color a dark piece is. My dad who hasn't bought any Lego sets for himself since the 60s suddenly got interested in Lego and noticed the same thing because he was used to the late 80s and early 90s instructions he had seen when he sometimes helped me when I was a very young builder. It all started when we visited Colditz Castle in September last year (we are both very interested in the fantastic escapes that took place there). We stayed in Leipzig and I noticed that there was a Lego store close to the hotel and we went there. We have previously visited many Lego stores over the years but he hasn't shown any major interest before but now it was different. He started buying all sorts of sets and and found most of the instructions too dark but he loved the sets.

Thanks. The castle is a 6087 Witch's Magic Manor that I have modified heavily. I usually don't modify sets but I had to with this one because it looked a bit strange before. Normally I only build MOCs and sets and avoid modifying because I don't like something that is half MOC half official set but in this case I had to.

It's a pub in Camelot.

:pir-laugh: now that widens the scope a lot! I find the one in Chesterton also pretty cool!

:pir-huzzah2:Here's to the Dragon!
