Paul B Technic Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Cute and will be good for some c model designs. Quote
Bartybum Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Hell yeah, more of this kinda stuff please TLG. But god imagine if they made sets at this scale with pneumatics Quote
R0Sch Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 It's okay for 10 bucks. One geared function is the bare minimum. It would have been cooler to have also articulated steering with a simple mechanism. Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Oho, I like this 🐕! Looks accurate and it's packed with functions, which is pretty amazing at this scale. Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Winner of 1H26. It's actually sad that only the small sets are worthy of Technic. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 I like that the log can also be used to test the suspension! Très cool. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted December 2, 2025 Author Posted December 2, 2025 I think this is the first 10$ set that has 6 wheels. Quote
Kostq Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 (edited) 42148 had 4 wheel-sized gears and two wheels - I don't know if it counts that way... I managed to rebuild it digitally. IO link I can't figure out the following layout below. Both keep the piece count. The left one uses a singled out part, the right one - parts already in the set. What's better for the pendular suspension - frictionless pin or a blue one? or Cheers from Bulgaria! Edited December 2, 2025 by Kostq Quote
msk6003 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 New parts None Rare parts 32250 liftarm 3x5 quarter circle thin in green - last release is 2000, 6 in 2 set 24116 panel bent 6x3 in green - last release is 2022, 2 in 1 set 56 minutes ago, Kostq said: 42148 had 4 wheel-sized gears and two wheels - I don't know if it counts that way... Kostq Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 (edited) I just spotted it too. I've just made a PDF with the instructions for the model too. As a time capsule I'll keep it and compare with the TLG one. Can I upload and link it here or it's some embargo-breaking stuff that I don't want to see an attorney for? R0Sch Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 @Kostq Good job, but there are some things that you missed (e.g. beam colors/length, 3L axle pins...). Note that the sticker sheet counts towards the part count too. Here's the full part list from Lego: Here's my version: Overall a very nice little Technic set, I must admit. Will have great potential for alternate models. Quote

Compared to the 42225 motorcycle, which is too similar and too soon after 42132 for my liking, I like it. 14 hours ago, Maaboo the Witch said: Oho, I like this 🐕! Sure, no official B-model here, but lots of playability regardless (42163 from 2024 is rather limited in this regard). I'm (totally not impulsively) buying it to go alongside my 42157 skidder. Since when does it do so? - I've reworked it - those were the parts in question. The brown beam is 11L, I see. Structurally the only place it mattered was for friction on the grabber's rotation. The other 3L were hidden and buried inside. 42218 Final PDF /with steps and pages set up/ - clicky link to .io file Edited December 3, 2025 by Kostq Quote

I always see 1 missing part in the inventory when a sticker sheet is included, so I assume LEGO just counts it as one part. Makes no sense, I know. But I triple checked this sets inventory and there are just 116 real parts included. P.S. The brown beam is still 9L in your .io file. Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Very nice to see a brown liftarm in a Technic set Quote
Outdoors02 Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 (edited) The front bogie (the section with the four smaller wheels underneath to which the boom is attached) rotates relative to the rear/cab section, but does the boom structure rotate relative to the bogie? Edited December 4, 2025 by Outdoors02 Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted December 4, 2025 Author Posted December 4, 2025 When you suspect that the rear bogies exist simply because the front and rear wheels have different diameters and not because it's intended to be a function but you can't prove it (≖_≖ ) Quote

It's fixed, but if you replace the grey 3L axle pin with a 2L one behind the worm gear, it does. The boom would not be very stable though. Quote

"STEERING AND SUSPENSION – This STEM toy helps kids learn as they play and includes realistic functions including articulated steering, rocker suspension and a boom that rotates 180 degrees" because to get the boom to rotate, you have to rotate the entire front section (AKA use the steering) even though they're listed as separate functions. Will look into mods. Edited December 4, 2025 by Outdoors02 Quote
