Well yeah, it all sounds more like a wish-list than anything plausible. Also, most of the rumored (= talked about by the fans but nothing backing it from TLG) setups make no sense, like motorization of a rocket / speed champion sized cars, or the Porsche at $150 (another PU Porsche after last year?).

Interesting new stuff:).

  • Maximize Functionality: How Powered Up Drives 2026 LEGO Technic

Furthermore, what use is power without something great to drive? The enhancements in 2026 LEGO Powered Up may upgrade the new Technic sets. We detail all the rumored vehicles in our comprehensive guide on 2026 LEGO Technic. Those sets include the huge Porsche 911 GT3 R and the NASA Artemis Rocket. Therefore, learn how these powerful new elements can fully motorize those models. These connections ensure your next challenging Technic build performs beautifully.

Beyond the Gears: Integrating 2026 LEGO Powered Up into Technic Models

, Technic builders always seek more function. Many large 2026 LEGO Technic models will potentially be able to accept motorization upgrades. I’ve got a detailed guide on the 2026 LEGO Powered Up components. These new motors, hubs, and sensors offer greater control. You may be able to bring complex movement to the Porsche or the NASA rocket. Visit our companion piece to learn how these smarter elements will enhance your builds. I don't know how long it takes for a designer to design a set, have they already started designing the 2027 set now

Depending on the size of the set the design and validation process can take up to 3 years. If this news is true then it is what Powered Up should have been from the beginning instead of the massive turd that they launched on us with nothing more than bluetooth to justify the higher prices and maybe a couple of holes to allow better integration in chassis.

I know that enough shade has been thrown on PU over the years that now it is a meme so hopefully Lego have taken the criticism on board and the new evolution will solve many of the basic issues like those useless hubs with limited ports and no rechargeable batteries. Fingers crossed.

LEGO has been heavily promoting their partnership with F1 Academy the last few days.  Apparently there’s a new F1 Academy Speed Champion set, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a F1 Academy Technic set as well.  I’m not excited about another F1 car, but maybe we’ll see some pink or purple panels out of it.

Is it just me who's bothered by the fact that like 90% of Technic is licensed these days?

I dunno, I prefer to use Lego to escape reality, not be reminded of it. And as for big media franchise licenses - I don't like those either, since your headcanon will never matter there anyway because there's a well-established official story. the latter is not a big problem with Technic, but it sure is with the rest of Lego

parts-wise though things look mildly interesting

Nobody forces you to follow the instructions.

42221 NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket. With this parts count it should be a super small scale model with Microfigures. I'm pretty sure the 7x15 Liebherr latice frames are used for the tower (in recoloured dbg)

If only this frame would be available in black and without reinforcements...

Here is the 42218 description:).

Meet the coolest machine in the forest with this LEGO Technic 42218 John Deere 1470H Wheeled Harvester Set! Discover intuitive instructions in the LEGO Builder app, where builders can zoom in and rotate models in 3D, track their progress and save sets as they develop new skills. The construction vehicle comes with lots of features to delight young John Deere fans. Check out the boom that rotates 180 degrees. Then it's time for action as kids open and close the claw to grab, lift and lower the log. This STEM toy also features rocker suspension and articulated steering for kids to test out. With its eye-catching John Deere green, black and yellow colour scheme, this set is a fun toy that kids can play with time and time again.

And here is the 42221 description:).

Begin a journey of discovery with this LEGO Technic 42221 NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket Set! Make the creative experience even more engaging with the LEGO Builder app, where kids can get digital 3D views of the buildable toy model during construction, save sets and track their progress. This educational LEGO Technic set shows the moment a rocket launches, in 3 distinct stages. Turn the crank to see the solid rocket boosters separate from the core stage, which then also detaches. Continue turning to watch the upper stage with its engine module, Orion spacecraft and launch abort system separate. This rocket building kit has been developed in collaboration with NASA and ESA, and lets kids explore the space launch system that will launch the Orion spacecraft into lunar orbit. It includes 4 astronaut nanofigures, fun blue flame details, plus an information panel to create an eye-catching display.

Ok, now my interest has peaked for the 42221:).

And finally the 42221 will brought back technic sets with figures. Yayyy:).

All of that in 117 pieces has me interested. Compare that to the 42163 bulldozer which has a worm-gear actuated blade in 199 pieces. Makes a great birthday/Christmas gift and would look great beside my 42157 skidder. Curious to see how 42225 compares to 42132 from 2022.

Sure for a 60€ set. Lego is now rocket science. These marketing descriptions are getting more and more ridiculous. But this will be for sure a cool play set.

I was referring to the little 42218 harvester. It seems like these days the small sets are the ones keeping Technic alive (by not being cars).

But, considering the thread we're in, I doubt any of those MOCs are of 2026 sets...

Unless the B-model is a time machine
