I was thinking of putting the new thin small tractor tires on this model, but it turns out that it looks quite bad.

I'd agree that it looks bad, wheels seem undersized.

On the real one the tires are a bit short of half the height, so probably something about 7 studs tall and 2 wide would be ideal.  I think that's like the Monster Jam tires but narrower.
