Krxlion Posted June 29 Posted June 29 I am looking forward to this model. I enjoy described details and using the reference picture with labeled COG - I was using that too in the beginning in my model, but gave up after I realize the gearbox in the middle won't allow me for such long link arms. As you model struggle with inclines now, without the body, the only way is to gear it down. It's painful, I know, but further elements will only elevate the problem. Regarding your solutions to encountered problem, maybe buying the buwizz buggy motor is the way? It is not as that expensive and from various YouTube tests it shows approximately 10-20% more power, and maybe this is all you need. Quote
Teo LEGO Technic Posted June 29 Author Posted June 29 1 hour ago, gyenesvi said: I also noticed such behavior in some models, but my assumption was that it has to do with a combination of low weight on the back / too stiff springs / too much power / lack of low speed control. Curious how your final model will behave in this respect! Those are importantly factors too, definitely. That video was also filmed on a slippery dirt surface, which I haven’t tried the crawler on. I’ll only know for sure when we test it outside in the truck trial, hope the effort I put in makes a difference! Quote
