I haven't been buying much Technic in the recent couple of years but this thing I surely must get. Waiting for reviews but at the moment it feels like Technic at its best.

This set seems nicely packed with functions. To me the proportions look a bit off though compared to the real machine. Not sure it's just the angle from the pictures, but especially the cab looks a bit squished

12 tooth clutch gear, strong differentials, 60 degree engine connectors, green links, double CV joints, small gear shifter ring... What a good parts pack!

This little cute loader fits the scale for the 42203 Tipper Truck from March. It should be possible that the Volvo loads the Truck with ease. Remembering that Kids are the main audience here, this 42209 Volvo together with the 42203 Tipper together with the last years 42175 Volvo creates a very nice construction play theme. I like it that TLG finally brings sets that match together in playability and scale.

That drive shaft is really really genius and impressive. The usage of clutch for extension, is soo clever and brilliant. Im now really impressed:).

Very well done, very impressive @R0Sch!

The usage of the clutch is something we have seen many times whenever to axles are routed through one turntable.

But I think we never saw a 8t gear meshing with a 28t gear in an official set, did we?

Wow it is better than I thought, Technic always do its best with wheel loaders.

Its, really cute, that this uses same tire pattern as the 42030. So they can work as a family. Im really happy that lego didn't choose the audi tires, because this would look out of place with those audi tires, when you display this with 42030:).

@Timorzelorzworz @Oh_Hi_Mao I am now able to provide "professional" renderings of the front loader on the flatbed truck. This combo really looks astonishing!


There is even room for the battery unit behind it, if you need to power this baby up on the fly.

Same reason they never showed the Car Transporter with different 17 wide cars and marketing doesn't know these are compatible toys. Even the Volvo license is the same, but they probably didn't put 1+1 together. 42175 will go EOL only end of 2026 so plenty of time.
