jennalchemy Posted April 18, 2025 Posted April 18, 2025 A 96 x 64 stud rendition of some of the cave art in the Lascaux caves. I thought this would be funny to hang on the wall, as large as I could afford; we'll see if I get around to it. Either way, thought I'd share. Painted as pixel art in Aseprite then converted in Studio. Quote
williejm Posted April 18, 2025 Posted April 18, 2025 This is awesome! I’d love to see how using curved plates/tiles would work on this too Quote
jennalchemy Posted April 18, 2025 Author Posted April 18, 2025 Good idea, I can totally use this as a base and modify from here. This is right out of the Mosaic tool in studio, I can really get the finger painting effect and the texture of the rocks with some more pieces Quote
Feuer Zug Posted April 18, 2025 Posted April 18, 2025 Neat use of LEGO to recreate ancient art. Quote
Renny The Spaceman Posted April 18, 2025 Posted April 18, 2025 This is super fun, you gotta update us with a photo of you get around to ordering all the parts Quote
EVE Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 Absolutely gorgeous! Cave paintings are my favorite art style, and this is a beautiful rendition. What inspired you to make this? Quote
jennalchemy Posted May 5, 2025 Author Posted May 5, 2025 Well, it just seemed obvious to me that if you want to re-make art in Lego form, you would do so chronologically. Gotta start at the beginning, right? Quote
baublitz Posted May 14, 2025 Posted May 14, 2025 Wow that's an unmistakable rendition, how long did it take? Quote
