The tractor has a hitch at the back and also double hinges front and back. Those could be just for accuracy and decorative purposes but perhaps in the summer wave there will be more farm vehicles/equipment thus the tractor's attachment points will be put to actual use.

That’s possible, if construction has the mammoth logo, then farm has the bull logo. It means farm is getting the same treatment as construction hopefully!

Maybe, there are addtional hinge plates, probably to mod it to have a hitch. Older red tractor looks like a toy compared to new one :)

Thanks for the comparison picture. I also saw your insta gallery. 

Looking at them side by side 60498 looks more polished but apparently not everywhere. The specialized pieces used on 60287 for the exhaust pipe and stairs I would argue they have superior realism. The roughest area on 60287 I would say is the joining between the two front windscreens, it creates an almost opaque band (very retina unfriendly) even though the pieces are trans-clear. Another aspect is the look of the front tires. The new ones on 60498 surprinsingly don't look that much better, for me at least. The matching tire pattern does look more visually appealing/cohesive but it's not necessarily more realistic, this depends on the tractor model. So I wouldn't say that 60287 really has a disadvantage here. Moreover if I'm being totally honest I'm not quite seeing 5 years worth of progress between the two sets.

Also as a playset 60287 is superior, having the digger bucket (which can also be taken off) gives it more play features (calling the opening hood on 60498 a play feature would really be a stretch) not only that two minifigs, one animal mould and some side accessories.

So overall 60287 is the better toy, it also looks "bigger" as it occupies more space even though the tractor is less chunky, 60498 is pretty dense with more mass overall but within the same general dimensions (WxHxD) and for small kids "the volume of stuff" as Jang puts it matters a lot. Strictly for the tractor 60498 has the better model, but as a whole I would give the edge to 60287.

Some interesting piece counts

Could 60501 be either a City centre or hospital? 
I reckon 60506 is the passenger train while 60509 is the cargo train. 
It’ll be interesting what some of the vehicles will be

A smaller cargo train perhaps?  The piece count is surprisingly lower compared to March's Police Train. 

Odd that some of the sets are late may releases and some are June 1st.

No currently-running modern theme except for CMF's (and maybe Creator?) uses only prints - they don't have anywhere close to the printing capacity for printing EVERYTHING @Dolor.

Yes but if you look all CITY January 2026 sets, there is about 95 % prints. 5 % stickers...

The Airport Fire Engine is the first set where stickers start to appear. The other two are the Coast Guard Rescue Boat and Airport with Airplane. Indeed tons of prints and minimal stickers for City.
