Clearer images of the UCS Slave 1 box are out. Not much we didn't already know, although the view of the back of the ship does show a slot for the seismic charge. It'll be neat if there's a function to release it!

This is actually an Avengers Doomsday set, where Ant-Man will travel to the star wars universe and enlarge the Tantive so it can fight back. He forgot to enlarge the occupants so nobody can control the ship and it crashes into Mos Eisley, tragically...

Careful, you’ll give George Lucas ideas for 50th anniversary Special Edition re-release

A page from the instruction manual has been leaked and it looks as though you can get 5 figures in there. Nice to see there’s a lot of space.

I'm very impressed by the latest images of the UCS Slave 1 - it looks incredible and a significant upgrade on the older version

There's just the right level of visible studs to keep it looking like a LEGO set, and the amount of greebling is perfect.  Hopefully they've managed to make the underside a little more stable; there's a couple of sections on the old one which were incredibly fragile!  It could have been a 10/10 - if it wasn't for those horrible stickers!   I'm really looking forward to purchasing it - hopefully the UK RRP won't be too painful.

Slave 1 might be my first day-one buy in years. I want the May 4th GWP anyway and Slave 1 is the only set I actually care about. I was originally just gonna eBay the GWP and wait for a discount on Slave 1 but after seeing these leaks...

Hopefully someone will be printing custom tiles to replace the plaque with the proper name. Aside from that, and wishing the figures were a little better (Boba's hairpiece and the colour for his body and arms, and Jango's arms/legs needing more of a purple tint), the ship itself seems basically perfect.

Just hope the UK price is a reasonable conversion since I don't think we know what that'll be yet, right?

Hate to go against the grain here but I'm personally not very impressed with the Slave I. Something about it just seems... off. Colors, proportions, lack of play features, etc. For the sake of brevity I won't list everything but one thing that really bothers me is the windscreen. It should be transparent black, not clear. The dark green sections should be black as well, and Jango's arms & legs should've used medium lavender instead of sand blue. The amount of stickers is very unfortunate as well; I expected at least a few prints, especially on the seismic charge. I'm a huge Jango fanboy and the Slave I is by far my favorite ship in all of sci-fi, so I really expected to love this. But unfortunately, I don't.

I've been mulling it over since the initial leaks from a few weeks ago but these new pics solidify my opinion. I think they could've done a better job after 23 years and I still genuinely prefer the original set from 2002. I also think it's kind of a downgrade from the original 2015 UCS Slave I in some ways as well.

Sorry to be so negative, just wanted to share my thoughts. I'm obviously way more picky about this particular ship than anything else. On a more positive note, I think they nailed the interior & I do love the little references to Bounty Hunter. That game is still my favorite SW game by far, so it's nice that they thought to include some references to it.

Wow. New images of the UCS Jango Slave 1. Sold. Well done. Not perfect, but I've seen what I need to. Really excited for this one. I love the May UCS sets and when it really hits, that is a great year (skipped last year, didn't love the Interceptor).

Never had Jango before. Own 75060, but never got to build it. This build and details look excellent.

Thanks for the news! :classic:

Do you think that the UCS Jango Fett's Slave I is in scale with the 75333?

If there wasn't the long rumored UT-AT, I'd be very disappointed.

The seismic charge has FIVE stickers, 4 of which go around the flat-top astromech head piece.

Has that part literally ever been stickered before?? For astromech figures it's always printed.

And the circular midsection of the charge only has the pattern on one side. (Would be a total of 6 stickers if that pattern was on both sides, but would be worth it, though obviously better if they were prints)

I am quite sure that 75333 itself, is out of scale. Good for minifigs, but bigger than a minifig scale model.

They are close to in scale actually. The Slave 1 is not a personal craft like Obi-Wan's starfighter. Slave 1 is actually huge. I know it's now always portrayed as such on screen. The Slave 1 may be used as a personal craft, but that's only because it was re-purposed.

Random thought, but I’m quite liking 2025’s trend of £60 / $70 starfighter sets that include 3 desirable minifigures (and droids where appropriate). First the ARC-170, then the U-Wing, and finally the V-19 this summer.

The Clone Wars Obi-Wan really needs arm printing (hopefully a new hair piece too although that’s extremely unlikely and not really necessary I guess). I’d love to get a Clone Wars Anakin along with a Phase 1 Rex at some point. Personally wish the MTT would’ve included those two.

Pictures of all May releases are out now! :excited: Kylo‘s helmet and Shuttle both look cool, and the Brickheadz of Grievous and the Senate are among my new favourites :laugh_hard:

Grievous looks hilarious 😄.

The shuttle looks good but is maybe to small for the starship collection. Otherwise worked the MF for me.

Helmet is ok but the one with the red pattern would have been better.

sets look nice, hoping they have enough U-wings in stock though, it is the only one I am planning on buying for May 4th.  Not a lot of play sets for it to compete with.

Same here. Fingers crossed a Tie Reaper is next (though I would prefer larger with more minifigs)

I’m honestly curious as to why Lego’s not releasing a starfighter duel pack this year.

All the sets look pretty good. I’m liking the Brickheadz though I feel like Obi Wan would’ve made more sense than Padme given he fights both Anakin and Grievous.

Kylo’s helmet looks decent, however the reliance on stickers to provide the bulk of its texturing does detract from it a little. Shuttle looks nice too, would be been awesome if it had extendable wings.

As great as it is to see ST representation like this, nothing would’ve beaten a system set.

I’m not a Brickheadz fan but that Grievous looks brilliant. Reaffirms my opinion that Brickheadz are the most interesting when the characters aren’t human.

@CloneCommando99 a Reaper would be awesome. My personal bias makes me partial to wanting one based on Fallen Order just to get some Inquisitor and Purge Trooper figures.

A lot of Kylo's helmet looks like prints not stickers. The official reveal and first few review will confirm which way.

75333, is so far, the Delta.7, closest to minifig scale, at 25cm, vs what is calculated minifig scale 19.34cm. About 25% larger, is quite good.

Scale info from  https://brickset.com/article/62976/minifigure-scale-star-wars-vehicles

Slave 1, is big! 75060 "2015 Slave 1", is 45cm, vs calculated minifig scale 51.97cm. 15% smaller, that is quite great. 75409, is 44cm, when it is placed on the tilted display stand. 44cm is from box photo.

My thinking maybe if the UT-AT ain’t a UT-AT maybe they’ve switched to land vehicle dual packs but I doubt it. I have to admit I have liked the starfighter duel packs, didn’t pick up the RTG but I’ve seen that at half price already so maybe Lego has seen it not sell well and change tactic. Lego missed the trick by not doing the Arc-170 with a Tri-droid and or Vulture droid would have been a pretty good candidate for duel pack

Same- lego c'mon please

They want a battle in a box for those so they can't make both the starfighters clone ones. This was a joke but given how much of the august wave is clone based I kind of unironically think something similar may have been a factor- if they wanted that $110 price point the others were at, there aren't many good Clone Wars options.

I also wonder if they haven't been selling well- lego wouldn't have been able to use sales data from last year's, but I've seen the mando and ahsoka ones for $65-75 pretty consistently (and yet, when I made up my mind to buy them, they were gone... :sadnew:)

And a pretty significant price increase, I don't know if the sets would have much in common at that point.

My thoughts:
ROTS pack is pretty neat. A little confused why Palpy Boy is in his end-of-movie robes rather than the red ones that come to mind when I think of ROTS palps, and either Mace or Padme should have been swapped out for Kenobi, but overall a good pack. I wish that Grievous was availible solo, if he had been it'd have been my first brickheadz... since Boba, I think.

Shuttle is great, but X-jet levels of overpriced. I hope I can snap this one up for ~$40 because otherwise I'm not getting it.

That helmet is a disgrace and lego should actually be embarrassed that they put that out there. That's not a lego kylo ren helmet, that's a black dome with Kylo Ren's helmet design stickered onto it. Why even make the helmet if you can't represent the details with any accuracy without resorting to printing basically every silver part of the helmet?
