Lemerbrix Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Tiger shark tank looks so freaking cool! Definitely want to buy it! Quote
Takanuinuva Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Apparently it's also gonna be the last wave. Which makes me wonder if we won't get a Season 4 like how Nexo Knights never got a Season 3. Quote
Vindicare Posted December 1 Posted December 1 (edited) Love the tiger shark tank! I just need better pics to see the parts & see if I can remake it in sand blue for Garmadon. Edited December 1 by Vindicare Quote

I don't think the nose (speed champions windscreen) comes in sand blue but you might be able to substitute some other wedges for it. Quote
Lyichir Posted December 2 Posted December 2 The rest of the Dreamzzz sets! https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-dreamzzz-2026-sets-officially-announced/ I'm gonna be honest, this might be some of my favorite of how the theme has ever looked. I'm getting major Elves vibes from some of it and the sets all look awesome in both builds. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Kinda strange the trans-pink version of the creature is not in any of the sets. Maybe it‘s from a cancelled set? Or perhaps that was an even earlier leak than we thought, since I can‘t spot the specific Ninjago plant monster from the same leak either Quote

If so, it only shows up in Friends. Shame… Quote
Vindicare Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Well, this theme sure is going out with a bang! I love those crystal fox creature things. I dig that we get so many colors. Quote
TeriXeri Posted December 4 Posted December 4 (edited) Scorpion Digger uses basicly the exact color scheme of the Ninjago Crystal King, that's pretty cool, will go well with those thematically too. Also those little cats included are pretty cool, basicly Dreamzzz versions of Vaporeon, Flareon, Leafeon and Glaceon. Edited December 4 by TeriXeri Quote
karrit Posted December 4 Posted December 4 I guess I'm in the minority but I really don't like any of these new sets. There are some parts I'll need to get off of PAB if/when they show up. Like those transparent creatures and the crystal things they are encased in. Quote
Lyichir Posted December 5 Posted December 5 Been looking over these sets more finely. One of my (extremely minor) issues with Dreamzzz is that because most of the set pictures are focused on showing off the alternate builds, there's usually fewer pictures focused on showing off play features, interiors and whatnot, so until we get reviews there's always the potential for stuff we aren't seeing. I'm trying to compile some of my more in-depth thoughts here, forgive me for rambling a little. One thing I noticed about the shark tank is that there's a bar connection at the base of the tail behind the dark blue "hull"—the same connection type used for modular attachments in a lot this year's sets. Since those connections don't seem to be used in either build, I'm curious if the middle section is actually removable—if so, those two unused connections could be used to reposition the two fins to make a build that's just the shark itself without all the sci-fi adornments. The top fin would also have to be moved forward or back but there looks like there's a space for it to attach on the top of the head or tail as well. While I'm happy that we're getting most of the main cast in new outfits, it is a little bit of a shame that some of the supporting cast didn't make it (such as Astrid, Albert, and Mrs. Castillo/Lumia). The latter echoes how disappointing it was that she didn't get a release this year after the game island tower set was cancelled, and I similarly doubt there are any additional sets for this final wave waiting in the wings to include the final couple characters—but if there were, I'd certainly be pleasantly surprised. Maybe they'll surprise me and do BAM figures again, though that probably wouldn't help with most of these characters since Mrs. Castillo and Albert don't fit the head-body-legs assembly of typical figs and I don't think they typically have large multi-part accessories like wheelchairs in the BAM stations. Several aspects of these sets feel like a throwback to earlier sets. Cooper's two dino vehicles he can build remind me of the C-Rex, the crocodile submarine sort of calls back to Logan's beastcrafted version of Cooper's sports car from year one, and of course the shark tank (possibly an uncorrupted Mr. Sharkyjaw?) calls back to the Nightmare Shark Ship. If this weren't the final wave, these sorts of retreads would feel a little unoriginal, but with the context that this is probably the "grand finale" I find it kind of fitting that they're bringing things full circle like this. A bit of a shame that Bunchu and Z-Blob don't really get builds of their own this time (Z-Blob appears but doesn't actually get a build this time). Zoey (who I feel the theme often struggled to find a consistent concept/tone for in terms of builds) doesn't really get anything either, but the eagle alt build of the crocodile submarine might be intended to sort of give some of the winged theming of Zian or the Time Owl to the set she comes in. The Scorpion Digger is the only build fully themed around the bad guys (seemingly an upgraded Nightmare King and Arika, who could either be an underling or scheming chessmaster manipulating the Nightmare King). But it definitely impresses in both the scorpion and wasp builds. Parts-wise, I really like the treasure creatures and crystal eggs. They definitely give me Elves vibes, which is the opposite of a bad thing! The crystal halves are also used to good effect in several of the builds. The new swords shared by the heroes and the Nightmare Emperor are cool (I like the variety of colors, which are more varied than the "hourglass hilts" used for several of the weapons these past two years which only came in two colors). The new claw/flame/wing piece used for several of the models is suitable for varied purposes and comes in a lot of colors, like a lot of the "energy effect" pieces this theme has offered. I'm not sure how many of the sets I'll get. The most "skippable" sets, figure-wise, are the Fox Guardian Mech and either the Scorpion Digger and Dino Jet (either has the orange treasure creature and a variant of Cooper with either a hood or a hat/hair). But the thing is... I really like all these sets! They're all really cool builds, and even the sets without unique figs have cool recolors of some of the new parts. So I might just end up getting all of them, which would be the first time I collected all the Dreamzzz sets in a year. Again, it's rare for me to do that with any theme with Elves being the main exception, which is a testament to how much I like this wave! Quote
Lion King Posted December 6 Posted December 6 @Lyichir, you just mentioned treasure chests and crystal eggs, which sets they ahve? I don’t see anything. Anyways, I do wonder about Astrid and Mrs. Castling minifigures show up in BAM in their awakening outfits. I have Cooper, Mateo, Izzy, Zoey, Mr. Oz. I don’t think there is an awakening Logan yet. Sorry, I said treasure "creatures" and crystal eggs. That's what the set descriptions call the new translucent animals and the crystals that they emerge from in all of the different sets. Quote

6129c04 Posted Saturday at 03:48 PM Posted Saturday at 03:48 PM (edited) When I first saw the Tiger Shark Tank I thought about bricksmartworkshop's 31129 alternate: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-101152/bricksmartworkshop/tiger-shark-31129-alternate/ Why would the designer make the shark orange with black stripes like an actual tiger??? Lol, do kids actually believe a tiger shark is colored like a tiger? Anyway regardings the sets, the cheapest is $50, so it's clear the theme is ending they're not doing cheap gateway sets anymore, this is for the actual fans. The kids that got onboard initially are older now so they can manage larger more complex sets, I don't think they have deeper pockets though so in this regard this wave is expensive. The sets do look nice, somewhat derivative as others noted: - the Crocodile Submarine is like an augmented Crocodile Car, curiously again it's a submarine, is this supposed to battle on equal footing with the Nightmare Shark Submarine? - the Fox Guardian Mech has some DNA from the Z-Blob Knight Battle Mech and Cooper's Tiger Mech, the head looks different than 31154, but quite good in its own way. - the Dino Jet seems like a worthy brother of the Robot Dinosaur C-Rex set, more of the same but in a good way. - the Tiger Shark Tank is conceptually similar to the Nightmare Shark Ship and Nightmare Shark Submarine, seems like a comic book idea of fusing a military/war vehicle/machine with a predatory animal -> in a roundabout way gives me a Wacky Races vibe. Interestingly, the bad guy build, the Nightmare Scorpion Digger seems more original (at least relative to the DreamZzz backlog), the bad guys are admittedly cooler, also regarding minifigs. Overall this wave looks much more spectacular than Ninjago which, at least regarding the DR s4 sets, seems to be going downhill like it's on purpose. So if this is the swansong at least the theme is going out swinging. Edited Saturday at 03:49 PM by 6129c04 Quote

Story-wise if you interpret it as being crafted from Izzie's Mr. Sharkyjaw plush (which is yellow-orangeish before being transformed into the Nightmare Shark Ship in season one) the colors also work as a more colorful, "uncorrupted" version of the character.
