Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler) shared his experience working on Doomsday. Doesn't bode well for the final product imo.

“I did the entire film in isolation. Lots of green screen, face replacement. They even gave characters fake names. I don’t know who I was acting with half the time.”

The Tom Holland Infinity War experience.

Alan Cumming let a spoiler out within the first week of filming so this is nothing to worried about.

I think he mentioned a certain actor he shared a scene with. But this is par for the course when it comes to Marvel. An example is the funeral scene for Endgame. The actors weren't told that they were filming Tony's funeral. They thought they were filming a wedding scene. And in MoM, you can clearly tell that the Illuminati actors didn't film anything together. This is why all their scenes have the actors spaced out. Particularly with an unfinished script that's in flux, they would need to film everyone separately so they can put the pieces together however they see fit later on. I imagine Alan's experience is what the other actors are going through as well. Anthony Hopkins was very vocal about this when filming the Thor movies and how awful the experience was because it was just greenscreen acting.

In my opinion this is more likely to be one of two things, as he has proven himself to be very bad at keeping secrets in the past.

Either A, these are special measures they have taken specifically for him so he can’t accidentally leak as much or B, he’s had a bit of a telling off and his new strategy in interviews is to pretend he doesn’t know anything.

If you believe everything actors say in interviews then Andrew Garfield isn’t in No Way Home.

Andrew Garfield's case was very special and most everyone, at least who kept up with the leaks, knew he was in it and was just hiding his involvement. NWH was marketed on hiding the other two Spideys. That's set an annoying precedent now where actors are upfront about not being in movies and people don't believe them, because they think of the Andrew situation. I remember Famke Janssen (Jean Grey) was asked if she was appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine and she said no, she hasn't been asked. But people thought she was lying to cover up her involvement. We have a similar case with Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) now. People have been asking him if he's in Secret Wars with the other FoX-Men cast. He's said no, he's not in it, and in fact that if he was in it, then he wouldn't be allowed to say, anything at all, so him saying he's not in it means he's really not in it. He also said that he'd love to come back but nobody's asked him.

Assuming 76344 is a Spidey Book Nook, what do you all want to be featured in it?

I think it would be cool if the book nook was him swinging in a alleyway.

One More Day Book Nook 😈

UJ/ A book nook would be cool. But it definitely is not what it is.

I honestly think that if any superhero is going to get a book nook, it’ll have to be Superman first since Action Comics #1’s cover is too iconic. Far more important iconic than any individual spidey cover.

The X-Men

In all seriousness though, if it is a BookNook for Spidey, we’d probably get Oscorp, the Bugle, a couple of generic buildings, and Spidey, Doc Ock, Goblin, Venom, and MJ.

That would be a lot, I can't see that. The LotR book nook had one minifig and the HP one had two. The Sherlock Holmes one had five but no licence, and Marvel seems to be on the higher-priced end of licenced themes. I'd therefore expect one or two figs maximum.

Hope it's comic-based and features new characters or rare characters rather than the usual Green Goblin, Venom, Miles, or Gwen. A 616 Gwen would be nice.

Amazing Fantasy #15's cover is up there in terms of being iconic. Would also be a good choice for a book nook.

Yes, the X-Men... the first comic book cover!

This would never happen, but it’d be great if it did. And I’m sure Lego wouldn’t mind being able to squeeze 4 new characters out of 1 new torso and 3 new heads.

I’d argue that Giant Sized X-Men 1 is the more iconic cover, but IMO, it wouldn’t work as a book nook.

The set could indeed be a book nook, but it may just as well be a microscale model or a buildable object  As long as we get something new and interesting out of it, I‘ll be happy with any of the three options!

A repeat of the Ultimate Green Goblin would be welcome. And hoping the book nook follows the Animated Series Gotham format of mini NYC buildings

I can guarantee that it’s neither of these things knowing Lego.

Buildable venom and symbiote spider-man bust 2-pack. Unlike the other busts, no minifigures are included. It's also branded as a rivals tie in, so lego can monkey's paw both "I wish we had rivals sets" and "I wish we got a symbiote spider-man"

It’s a buildable Iron Man. :jollyroger:

Falls into the object category in my book :laugh_hard: I quite like the sound of that, to be honest! Granted, we‘ve had quite a few buildable Iron Men so far (2x Hulkbuster, the 2012 constraction figure, the more recent action figure, the helmet, and the bust), but depending on how it‘s realised, it could turn out pretty cool ^^

Called it!

Is there anymore from the January wave left to leak because as it stands I won’t be spending a penny.

There’s four more sets.

Most likely Infinity Saga sets. Hopefully something interesting! :sweet:

*More Endgame final battle sets*: Allow us to introduce ourselves.

There’s been hints at Nightcrawler for a while. I’m willing to bet at least one of the sets is for X-Men ‘97, probably a Sentinel.

Really hoping for some more Raimi sets, would love an OG Goblin and Black Suit Spidey, also really want a new comic Deadpool since he showed up in the special and will be in Doomsday, he's no longer off limits

Really want Ronin/Hawkeye too

I'd like Bullseye/Kingpin comic version in a spidey set too

But we'll just get more venom, miles, gwen and the same old red and blue spidey

Well, there goes my hope it was a book nook given it had similar piece count to other LEGO Book Nooks.

This January 2026 wave really is being carried by the $10 Ghost Rider set. We need to find out what the 4 other sets are so I can know if there will be any sets worth getting.

I'm wondering if it isn't for Doomsday, since they're not hiding Nightcrawler's part in the movie. I read there was a leaked Marvel Legends action figure wave for Doomsday and Cyclops is one of the reported figures. That might make him a likely candidate for a Doomsday Lego set too. And if Cyclops is likely, Nightcrawler probably would be too.

Evidently, Unibricks posted the wrong set number before. Iron Man buildable figure is 76344 not 76334. A book nook might be back on the table.

I’d be surprised if leakers knew at this point which figures are and are not in Doomsday sets. Minifigures are usually among the last details we learn about sets and movie sets are typically kept under wraps better than non-movie sets. Plus, the sets wouldn’t come out until next fall so I can’t see leakers teasing his inclusion this early.

It’s crazy how much these figures have been reused, even in pricier sets like Oscorp this year.

A large buildable Iron Man figure is truly a welcome addition to the winter lineup  It isn’t at all redundant after getting a bust, helmet, and UCS Hulkbuster.
