LEGO has marked a bunch of sets for EOL (retiring at the end of 2025). For HP that's

- Diagon Alley (which had a very good run, it came out in 2020!)

and a bunch of others:

- Hogwarts Express & Hogsmeade Station (meaning we're probably due a new Hogwarts Express in 2026)
- Aragog in the Forbidden Forest (again that's a staple of LEGO HP, so maybe another one in 2026?)
- Boathouse, Owlery, Potions Class, and Duelling Club all from the new modular system (the latter only came out this year but will presumably replaced by the Sorting Hat in the January 2026 wave, and I'm expecting a replacement for the Potions Class as well)
- Ollivanders and Madam Malkins (continuing with the IMO nonsensical trend for the playset Diagon Alley - anyone trying to start a collection after this year is already missing both WWW and Ollivanders, two of the most iconic shops)
- buildable Dobby, Buckbeak, and Mandrake (the latter two only from 2024 - I'm expecting new buildable creatures to replace them)
- Most surprising to me is the Durmstrang Ship, an exclusive and generally well-received set from mid-2024. We've certainly had exclusives last longer than that, even unpopular ones - the UCS Hogwarts Express lasted almost a whole year longer!

For 2026, this cements my assumption that we'll at least get

- playset Hogwarts Express (probably in the second wave of the year)
- Aragog (maybe)
- a replacement for the Potions Class in the modular system
- another Diagon Alley entry (probably Flourish & Blotts)
- buildable stuff galore (even though most of it looks bad, you'd think minifigs in licenced themes would be LEGO's main draw, and I can't think of any sets that have been really well-received lately).
- Also at least one large and one mid-size (the latter has been confirmed as the Hospital Wing) addition to the modular Hogwarts.

What do you guys think? Could we get the same thing several times? Like the sorcerer´s stone boat house, which will retire now, remade in a few years as the deadly hollows one? I think it is hard to believe that the whole castle ist about the first two movies and then we have the room of requirement and owlery in between.

I guess it might depend how well the last one went. Given there are always new kids growing in the Lego and Harry Potter age, there will always be a new target audience for it. And the Hogwarts Express must be drawing a lot costumers else we wouldn't have seen so many versions of it already. Still, wouldn't be surprised if we get a break. Might also depend on what their plan is with the theme for next year.

Compared to how important it was for the films and how iconic it is I would  actually say it is surprisingly rarely included in sets. So would be surprised if we see another version for this version of a Hogwarts.

I guess you mean another class module, not another version of Potions there?

Well who knows, they could aswell start with newer versions of already made shops after a few years that still fit together with the shops on the shelves now.

That one was the big exclusive though, the Durmstrang ship fits more in line with Grimmauld Place IMO.

Well to be fair Lego is all about building stuff out of bricks so the buildable creatures make just as much sense as Minifig-sets in that regard. And given how many of them are around across all themes they seem to sell well enough. Personally, I am not interested in most of them but their existence doesn't bother me either.

However I really like the (also this year retiring) Hogwarts Icons set, the buildable Hedwig looks really great. Would love if we get a Fawkes in a similar style.

Would be really surprised if that would happen.

Hogwarts Express: I can't believe there won't be one on the shelves in 2026. LEGO love their vehicles, and this theme has very few of them as it is.

Aragog: The scene has been done four times so far (counting 4738 Hagrid's Hut), so I except they'll definitely want to revisit it. Probably not for a couple of waves though.

Potions: Yes, by replacement I meant another module of the same size (since the Charms Class is only half the size).

Diagon Alley: I really doubt they'll start afresh. The first one which went EOL is WWW which is pretty limited in terms of how many scenes or books you can revisit with it. The next is Ollivanders and that's really only relevant for PS/SS. So there's little room for differentiation there.

Durmstrang Ship: Yes I know the UCS Hogwarts Express is not a direct comparision. I just meant that the HE was poorly received and still lasted longer. Grimmauld Place did have the same running time, I give you that.

Hogwarts Icons: I actually expect the leaked PS/SS 18+ set to be something like that, a couple stacked items (possibly based on the challenges, i.e. Stone, Devil's Snare, chess piece, etc.). I doubt it would include Fawkes, though, since he'd fit better with CoS than PS/SS.

Although this Hogward's Express has been around for a while, I still think it's the best mini figure scale version too date! After all the others only came with one carriage, which really never presented a train.

This one was finally done right! And can still stay on the shelf a little longer! Also the Hogsmead station fits well with the "Build The Most Detailed Hogwards Castle"

@BrickBob Studpants

Your pic made me laugh, but that thing's about as useful (in terms of play value) as the UCS Hogwarts Express. By which I mean not at all. I can't imagine that many kids who want a LEGO HP train will be happy with a book nook so I fully expect a playset Hogwarts Express to hit the shelves in 2026. If they go PS/SS they could reuse the Harry and Ron figs from the book nook, though.

There doesn´t need to be much difference in what they display though, since it would be for a new generation of kids, not for people that already own the old one.

Yeah, I totally don´t expect fawkes in it, rather maybe a buildable fluffy (heads and paws only with a harp), the devil snare, winged keys, some chess figures and the philosophers stone.

Looks like Sorcerer’s Stone is getting a big push next year with a theatrical rerelease, new branding, and “special edition products and retail promotions” according to Variety. Fingers crossed they’ll actually do something special for it like finally releasing the Peeves scenes (I’d take the raw footage without effects if that’s what it has to be). Very odd to do a big push for the original movie right before trying to replace it with the streaming series since it will only invite more comparison. Maybe they’re just trying to squeeze out the last dollars they can from the original movies.

Anyway I was wondering if Lego was included in this push and what sets that would result in this summer, but honestly just about everything from the first movie has not only been done but is on store shelves at this very moment. Assuming the sorting hat and flying bike sets are from the first movie that only leaves the zoo, the cabin on the water, quidditch, and I suppose a Stone specific Privet Drive set and Diagon Alley related builds left to put on shelves. They’ve really exhausted that movie, unless I’m forgetting something. And of course if Lego does make sets for the streaming series the Sorcerer’s Stone abundance will only continue. I’m guessing this summer we will get some kind of Quidditch remake which is pretty necessary since most kids have only had the chance to get flying lesson models and maybe a Gringotts since that D2C is definitely out of reach for all but the richest children.

Well, given we get a PS Collectors Edition Set, I would say it is save to assume that Lego is included ;).

If winter sets are being released in January, we should be close to official reveal, or atleast some leaks. Last year they were quite early, isn't it?

Yeah, it’s kinda funny we have minifig lists for some March stuff for other themes and one January set is already available for pre-order (Kachow!), yet we still have no clue what these sets entail exactly

Definitely looking forward to the motorbike and Lovegood house sets the most. Some of you may remember how peeved I was when it became clear there were no DH sets in 2021. 5 years later, and they did everything I wanted from those two movies anyway

Well, assuming the motorbike set is based on DH, that is! It has “escape” in its name, after all.

While we are waiting we could do another round of speculate/wishlist. I’ll set up a format, come up with a realistic set for each category:

Small modular classroom £17:

large modular classroom £30:

Forbidden Forest set £17-30:

brick built magical creature £30-60:

Wizarding world location: £60-100:

Unexpected experimental sub-line set:

Sort of forgot that there will be a large expansion set the too "Build The Most Detailed Hogwards Castle" !? I Take it, it would be a €300 Astronomy Tower.... 🤗

Supposedly a new 25th anniversary logo will feature across products both new and old, so maybe this will include Lego and their box art and that could explain any delay in pictures if they have to coordinate their reveals with a bigger marketing strategy.

I'm guessing the Harry Potter logo will probably make a brick built appearance this year, maybe even this new logo.
