This is an excellent point as well, Arkham was clearly testing the waters to see if people wanted anything besides batmobiles. 2027 would be the earliest we could see the results of that.

Well, IF we get a D2C next year, here's hoping it's something special for the 20th anniversary of LEGO Batman (like a Modular Batcave similar to this incredible MOC:)

Over at LEGO HP, Diagon Alley came out in 2020 and Gringotts came out in 2023. Those sets are actually meant to connect, but they clearly waited with giving us Gringotts until they were satisfied that Diagon Alley was doing well. So about three years seems realistic to me. Meaning we could see an Arkham successor in 2028.

Of course Gringotts had never before been done in that format (and neither has the Daily Planet). LEGO probably have a couple of things for each theme which they consider lower-risk due to popular demand being there, such as Arkham and the Batcave for DC. Meaning another D2C Batcave might be in the cards earlier, like 2027 or even 2026 (in addition to a Marvel D2C).

I think we get something 20th anniversary related to Batman. a comic based batcave with Wayne Manor attached would be great.  maybe 27 we get the daily planet.  also I can see both themes getting a d2c in 27  u mean why not Lego has released worse with other themes

A D2C Batcave in the same style of Rivendell, would be a great way to celebrate 20 years of the theme.

We just got new versions of Ivy, Riddler, Catwoman, and Mr Freeze last year. Joker, similarly, already has a version on the shelves. Bane, Killer Croc, and Penguin just need new torsos. Harley and Scarcrow would need new torsos and legs. Throw in new minifigures for Clayface, Two Face, Nightwing, and Batgirl. Maybe even new characters like Spoiler, Orphan, Hush, and Mad Hatter. Obviously purist versions of Bruce and Alfred and existing minifigures of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Batwing. That’d be a fantastic minifigure lineup, and I don’t think it’d be outside the realm of possibility, especially for what would essentially be DC’s Avengers Tower.

I honestly doubt we could get this lucky when the state of the theme is three Batmobiles, one logo, and five different Batman minifigures. But, the again, the designers did tease the Two-Face hair mold and new heads in Arkham weren’t one-offs. It does make me wonder if there are plans for the 20th anniversary of Batman beyond what we’ve already seen, Batcave or otherwise.

I really want to know if there'll be more Batman sets after the March wave, I have a feeling there won't be somehow

A MiniModular Gotham would be cool like the Marvel ones

Wayne Tower,GCPD,Iceberg Lounge, ACE Chemicals

A D2C TDKT Batcave with Wayne Manor on top would go hard

Minecraftgoat said there were four sets that might be DC in the summer. I assume these are those sets. So I doubt there’s anything else.

We’ve typically gotten at least one Batman D2C set per year, but we’ve also seen the Superheroes cut back pretty heavily on the number of D2C sets last year, so I don’t think there’s any guarantees.

Lego designers have teased that the heads in Arkham and Two Face’s new hairpiece were made for later use. But who knows if that’s just wishful thinking or a genuine tease.

I thought those were in addition to the four March sets, but I might be wrong about that

Admittedly, 8 sets in a year seems excessive by DC standards, but it can’t be ruled out either since 3 of the 4 March sets are smaller than usual :shrug_oh_well:

This year had four sets plus the D2C, and that was with the Superman movie! I wouldn't expect double that for 2026. Unless the remaining sets are more movie tie-in Batmobiles.

Looks like Harry Potter is getting Patronus figs for their anniversary. It’s kinda funny seeing what other themes get and DC is just a coin. I hope we get something later in year. I could see more Batmobiles to capitalise on game hype but it might have died down a bit by summer

Obviously they are:

  • Daily Planet mini-modular with: Mr Terrific, Lex Luthor (reuse), Superman (reuse), Lois Lane (kit bash), Supergirl, Jimmy Olsen (kit bash) and Cyborg Superman (using Two-face hair)
  • Green Lantern mech with: Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl
  • Nightwing vs Bane and Killer Croc mechs
  • Batman Beyond Batmobile

Let’s start the damn cycle again.

As if Lego needed an excuse to make more batmobiles

Legendary Batmobile Collection will be the end of the theme unless the DCU somehow manages to not just get it's act together but start pumping out Infinity War-level successful films.

The stage is set. Whether it's summer 2026 or sometime in 2027, the next wave of DC sets will be something like:

Legendary Batmobile: Batman Returns with Micheal Keaton Batman

Legendary Batmobile: The Tumbler with Christian Bale Batman

Legendary Batmobile: 1960's with Adam West Batman

I'll add that the next two D2Cs are probably a UCS Pattinson Batmobile and a UCS "The Bat" or batcycle.

At least we can look forward to the inevitable £10 TDK batpod if the new bike line continues.

Heck. If we’re getting a new Ghost Rider we could get a new Bane.

Actually. Scratch that. It’d make too much sense for Lego to do.

UCS BvS or Reeves cars, maybe. UCS Flying Lobster, probably not. UCS Batpod, definitely not. They already did that and it was 40% off last weekend.

Lol the new speed champions delorean comes with 2 minifigures, has more pieces, and is cheaper. I like these new batmobiles, but they are definitely missing a second minifigure.

AND it's licensed. I'm going to hold on the BvS batmobile until I see a sale.

I'd argue most adults were probably turned off by the cartoony batman buildable figure. An actual branded and marketed 18+ batcycle would do about as well as some of these other vehicles, I imagine.

But then again, Speed Champions Lightning McQueen (from the same wave) has 60 pieces less, no minifigures, and costs only 2€ less.

Still, add a second minifigure to the Batmobiles, and they wouldn't be a bad deal (especially the Battinson one, which has a really good PPP ratio).

I might be in the minority for this but other than the Batman and Robin one, I don’t really care about a second fig. I feel like if we got a second one, we’d lose a lot of the leg printing and dual moulding. So we’d end up with a worse Batman like the New Dark knight and Keaton one. I think this should be a separate line, whilst we get normal Playsets with more figs (As unlikely as that is 😂). Give me Cheap, good scaled Batmobile with detailed Batman figs then fun Playsets as well

To be fair, the MCU would like to be able to manage that too.

This would be the coolest £10 set for DC and make a world of sense, and that is exactly why it most likely hasn’t even crossed their minds.

There needs to be some sort of rule at Lego where they shouldn’t do a vehicle or character at the UCS or buildable figure scale if a minifigure version doesn’t exist. It still irritates me how the Bat-Pod has only been done at the UCS and buildable figure scale, and how the Raimi Green Goblin in his armoured form has a buildable figure, but there’s still no minifigure in sight.

Seeing the Speed Champions Marty McFly and Doc Brown’s Starship, I do still think the Pattmobile is a Speed Champions-level set. My only contention is the continued refusal to give the minifigure some much needed arm printing or make some more unique cowl pieces.

True, but as far as the lego themes go, spider-man and stuff based off the infinity saga avengers still does well with kids regardless of whatever slop gets pumped out on disney+. I don't think DC's had a financially successful, marketable-to-kids movie since... the first wonder woman, maybe?

For $30 I maintain it shouldn't have been an either-or. The Speed Champions set proves this. Sure, Marty and Doc don't have leg printing or dual-molding (though Marty has a puffy jacket mold), but come on. The set's $2 cheaper, has another figure, and between 27 and A HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN more parts than the more expensive batmobiles. Unless BTTF charges a tiny licensing fee and DC charges more than disney, there's no scenario where this is equivalent value.

Oh yeah, you’re absolutely right it shouldn’t be this or that. I was more speaking what LEGO would do 😂 I’m just so sick of Overpriced Batmobiles that it’s nice to get cheaper ones. I just know if they put extra figs in they’d crank up the price and probably be less detailed

How likely is it that we get a LEGO Batman Advent Calendar next year, as another 20 Years of "Lego Batman" Set tribute?

I could see that being the way we get Two Face (though he'd be in a Arkham Jumpsuit probably) and Arkham Repeats without the jumpsuits, but that's probably wishful thinking.

Precisely 50^0-1% :snicker:

Just look at all the themes that do get calendars. Each of them has at least 10-15 sets a year, and they consistently perform well. DC is simply too small a theme.

Well some of the Goonies minifigs leaked, looks like we’re getting a new Superman shirt for Sloth. So in a way, there’s a new DC print 😂
