In all seriousness though, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a remake of the 2006/2012 waves with a Batmobile vs Two Face, Batwing vs Joker, Batcycle vs Catwoman, and Batcave vs two random villains with a common theme uniting them.

A remake wave is not a bad thing at all, id love a new joker helicopter, but hope we get at least 1 Supergirl set and maybe clayface (i know he has an R rated movie coming) but hopefully they can do it along side, lego is happy to make him with 2 buildable figs and the new stickers in arkham. 
is there no chance of getting more than 4 sets next year?

No. 4-5 sets a year has been the norm lately, and they’re surely not gonna increase it when they have to share the license with Mattel

Green Lantern mech. That is all I ask. I don’t care which lantern. It can be GL Batsy for all I care. I just want some GL content.

We couldn’t even get a set for Superman. No way we’re getting a set for Supergirl. Best case scenario, that Daily Planet rumor winds up being true and she comes in that.

I doubt Clayface is happening either, tbh, not with him getting an R-rated movie next year.

I’d love a remake wave, maybe a Batboat with Croc. Would also be great if they did a new Batcave and finally gave us a comic Alfred after all these years. I think Bane would work well in a Batcave set. But this year unlike every other year I’m gonna keep my expectations low 😂 Think the theme has finally hurt me enough

I know I’ll get hit with the nerd cannon™️ by people on here, but Batman and Robin Batmobile is just too close to the Forever one to get so soon. UCS Pattmobile? Feel like they’ll save that for Pt. II but LEGO hasn’t been very rational about the decisions they’ve made with DC recently.

James Gunn just confirmed he’s currently writing the sequel to Superman. Hopefully this one will get sets.

Gunn! Make Braniac the villain and adapt Guy Gardner’s Bogus Lobo Adventure as a subplot and my life is yours!

I wonder if this is just that project he’s already confirmed that’s not a sequel but also is or if this is another project altogether that is Superman 2.

Either way, I look forward to the $100 Batman and Robin Batmobile we will get to coincide with this film’s release.

Ok, is there anything that says specifically that the building block license is going to Mattel? I ask because, currently Spin Master and MacFarlane have the action figure license for DC. Obviously, the action figure rights are going back to Mattel, but is there anything evidence for the building block rights? In the past, Mattel has made action figures at the same time Lego released sets. Mattel action figures and Lego DC can coexist.

Yep. Mattel bought Mega Brands (Mega Bloks/Construx/Mattel Brickshop) in 2014.

Mega Construx and Brick Shop aren't the same, they're just both owned by Mattel. Brick Shop didn't exist before this year, and it supposedly isn't replacing Mega or anything like that.
