I can’t believe it took soooooo long for them to release minifigures but the editions is soon to be over! Woohoo! Also, I can see why people gave up on Super Mario configured becuase of lengthy waiting. 2020: Ohhh just digifigures. Not my thing. Can’t wait to see minifigures next year! 2021: Oh, no minifigures yet? Maybe next year then! 2022: Nope not this year. 2023: Hmmmmm digifigures are soooo popular but maybe next year??? 2024: Oh….just buildable stuff? Nah I will wait 2025: More digifigures and buildable stuff….. 2026: YES YES YES ABOUT TIME!!!!! 2027: FINALLY!!!!!! MINIFIGURES ARE OUT!!!!! Quote

Not that I’m complaining! It is funny that twice in a row now, Lego has failed to capitalise on Illumination’s Mario films. Quote

Great and realistic imo. So, for "confirmed" figs we have: - Mario - Luigi - Bowser bigfig - Rideable Yoshi Who else do y'all think will be introduced in wave 1? I'm crossing my fingers for Peach! I'm also not sure as to, like, what route they're going to go size wise for sets. It sounds like they'll be doing a few sets from their wording. I wonder if they'll continue the trend of increasing prices (like $14.99 Captain Toad up to the $100 Wonder Bowser Castle) or if they'll do something a little differently for this theme reboot. I would absolutely love for the first wave to have maybe Bowser's Castle as the big set and then Peach's Castle for the second! Edited Monday at 04:31 PM by SlimyGhoul Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted Monday at 06:04 PM Posted Monday at 06:04 PM I expect a lot of repeated set ideas, but at a different scale with more compact builds Either that or some game-specific builds, like a recreation of a SM64 stage for example! Quote
strangely Posted Monday at 06:06 PM Posted Monday at 06:06 PM I definitely think Peach and Toad will be in wave 1. I expect there will be a decent amount of new head moulds. I wonder if them phasing out/scaling back on Animal Crossing may have been to make way for minifigure Mario sets. What I would like to see with wave 1: I'd like wave 1 to start in the Mushroom Kingdom. I'd love to see Peach's Castle as a big set, maybe under attack by Bowser in the Koopa Clown Car, and of course plenty of Mario 64 references A Toad Town set with at least a house and a shop would be great. I'd also love to get Mario's house from Super Mario RPG (or at least something like it) A new pipe piece compatible with the existing cylinder tube pieces to represent the traditional Mario pipe. The existing straight cylinder piece would work for the Mario pipe outside of the block/studs that sticks out of the sides. It would also be great to get a new plate piece that has a connection for the cylinder so they can be angled vertically through a plate I'd like to see some of the brick built characters return, but updated to be slightly less blocky when possible. I like a lot of the brick built enemies they made in the past, a lot of them looked great, so I'd definitely like to see brick built characters remain a part of the theme when possible I hope they use the new 2x2 container piece with hinged lid for the ? box and other item boxes. I like the proportions of that box better than what they've used in the past Quote
Lion King Posted Monday at 06:13 PM Posted Monday at 06:13 PM (edited) I wonder how can Bowser look like if it’a a big figure after all? Edited Monday at 06:14 PM by Lion King Quote

I could see Peach’s Castle definitely being done later down the line, maybe as a D2C set in the future. 2 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: I expect a lot of repeated set ideas, but at a different scale with more compact builds Either that or some game-specific builds, like a recreation of a SM64 stage for example! I think a bit of both, more game specific builds I think as minifigure scale sets open a lot more into possibilities. Would like to see a minifigure scale version of the Reznors, I could definitely see that in a future wave. I can see airships being produced, more appropriate scale vehicles for Mario Kart, Bowser’s Train that fits on 6 wide track. Could definitely see more sets including Whomps. 2 hours ago, strangely said: I definitely think Peach and Toad will be in wave 1. I expect there will be a decent amount of new head moulds.
