Another wave of cars???

Where are :

- bigger agriculture machines like 42054?

- backhoe loader?

- telehandler?

In my opinion there are too many cars in the Technic line-up.

Its getting worse and worse every year... so they choosed to make a backhoe as a mini set with basically no functions, and then we getting like 7 cars (and/or some bikes) as the  larger sets.... and this is 1H alone, expect more cars in 2H

TLC isn't reading this forum. If so, people would get a large Backhoe screaming for years and not that one as the very smallest set :D

Actually I was referring to monster truck with new fat 88mm tractor tires (we have 88mm offroad tires on G wagon, on hypercars, so there is mold...)

I don't see TLG creating new tyre moulds specifically for Monster Truck pullbacks, but...

  • Tractor tyres: too narrow.
  • Balloon tyres: too round.
  • Tumbler tyres: too shallow tread.

Proportions of the 56mm tyre are ok compared to 81 and 107mm versions IMO and are definitely an upgrade ove the balloon tires that they've used so far.

Could be 202 at the Porsche/Ferrari GT3 scale, or 207 with similar motorization to 42176... If it matches Dom's Charger then I'd expect it to be more like the 1200 piece $120 range.

I think it would have to match the scale of Dom's charger. I also think that it could realistically be motorised with the new hub from the Porsche. I dont usually pay attention to piece count vs price so I couldnt say which one it is from this list, but maybe its not even a 1h technic set?

I really wonder how they are going to make a backhoe with 104 pieces. I will watch this with great interest.

Expand

42147 B-model has 165 parts. When you replace brick build shovel with one piece and make few more optimizations...

Remembe, we have helicopter with 56 pieces. O, it's polybag, but still.

All the recent 10 euro sets were around 170-190 parts (dump truck, snow groomer, bulldozer), or around 140 pieces at worst (telehandler or skid steeer loader, which were still great little sets). Going down to 104 pieces for something as complex as a backhoe is almost polybag territory. Either the rumour is false or this set will be a big disappointment.

I think you're right. Only one set I can remember of that had exactly 100 set and wasn't a polybag is 42001. It wasn't that complex..

If the piece number is true, it's possible that the set uses big pieces or is in a truly tiny scale.

I dunno, 42175 is pretty big.

From a point of view, you're right. I wasn't clear on what counts as getting smaller. 42175 is a big set as a whole. But it's still made up of smaller, separate models. The only big construction machine I can think of that's still available (and consists of one model) is 42146. The others are either under 200 pcs, or 42175.

I don't know what went wrong in the pricing department but all I see is 30% price increase in every size category. 13 bucks for 100 pieces is a new low... that's a few pieces more than in a 4$ polybag! Monster Jam used to be 20$ but they already jacked up the prices this year with the Mercedes F1 and Neom pullbacks all while making record profits for 5 years in a row.

Only way to justify that price is if its pneumatic (highly doubt)

Well i have thinked about that backhoe thing so lego has the 4+ line maybe the backhoe will be the first 4+ technic set wich has huge molds so if this is the case the backhoe will be interesting because of those big molds
