So - Mysterious Ronin from the upcoming CMF series had been leaked, only torso and legs, no head. It looks like the design is more like Ninjago style. According to the original leaker, there was suppsoed to be Lloyd include din Series 29. Is that Lloyd?

Pretty sure that's his symbol on the back, so I'd assume so (although who knows, maybe the reason it's partly covered by the cloth print is to leave it up in the air). I guess we'll probably get explicit confirmation once we see the head.

Yup, the editions game continues. If it’s really him, I wonder why he is called “mysterious ronin” tho. Lloyd is a ninja, not a samurai. But I he tthat Ninjago is a fictional world so ninjas can go be ronins, I guess.

Yeah I think it's just to make him sound cool and relatively unique, it helps set him apart from your more standard "Lloyd" or "Green Ninja."

Officially revealed now: https://brickset.com/article/129965/lego-ninjago-71867-x-1-ninja-charger-announced!

I imagine this one will be a little divisive—it's gotten a lot bigger and lost most of its original muscle car shaping. But I do personally think it looks really cool—the enhanced size allows both the bike and car to look a lot more detailed. If accuracy to the show is your main interest it's probably not gonna be for you, but judging it solely on its own merits as a cool vehicle toy I like it a lot (and considering it's the third version of this vehicle I'm kinda happy they took it in a different direction).

I think it’s a nice build, just not 90 USD nice. For that amount, I’d have at least expected better (or more) minifigures or a side build. Looks like I’ll be 0/3 on the X-1 Chargers, better luck in 2031!

Wow that's a pretty disappointing way to end the anniversary sets haha (unless there's another coming that I'm not aware of). In fairness, it definitely doesn't look like a bad build, but I'm not super interested in the oversized vehicles personally and even at that size I think the price is comically bad. What is this, Star Wars??? And the minifigure selection is also shockingly paltry, the new elemental master is nice but then you get a repeat Kai and a nindroid. I'm pretty sure it's technically a new version of the nindroid (unless I'm forgetting some other recent set that comes with one) but I don't really get who this is for. If you've been into Ninjago for years then you probably have a million of them already since they've been brought back so many times, and if you don't have any then one generic nindroid is just going to be kinda pathetic on its own. Like even if they just threw in another repeat Ninja and another Nindroid (maybe Cryptor if they could afford a unique torso print), that would go such a long way in making the set feel like a better value. $90 for an overpriced car and only three minifigures, two of which are not exciting in the least, just feels bad.

Ultimately I don't care that much (idk why I even wrote so much about this set lmao) since this isn't the kind of thing I would buy regardless, but I will say that I am not a fan of this price. I know there have still been a lot of decently affordable sets in recent years but I feel like some of the options this year are testing the boundaries in a bad way.

The CMF Lloyd was leaked (alongside the rest of the series). The highlight is definitely the new hood with hair poking out. I wonder if the Ninjago designers will reuse this piece in normal sets. It would be cool to have a whole lineup of ninja in hoods like this, but also could require quite a few new parts to capture the variety of hair styles.

The rest of the fig is nothing super special. Nice to see arm printing and a darker color scheme for Lloyd. Looks like the shoulder armor is in dark brown, is that a new color? The accessories are quite disappointing, two of the most common weapons in the most common color. I was at least hoping for a new color for the katana!

I have a Ninjago adjacent question. I was looking at the Movie sets on Brickset & when I got down to the bottom I noticed something I hadn’t before. A Toys R Us promo “Can’t Buy Me LEGO.” It talked of 1 of 5 dioramas, and the one shown is great. I don’t know how this escaped my radar, as well as a friend who is a die hard Movie fan too. I’ve done a little digging but can’t find much of anything on the other sets. So I’m coming to the experts. Anyone know more about this? The other dioramas?

Extremely blurry picture of the Wyldfire Transforming Mech Dragon set leaked. Feels similarly chunky to the Mech Jet from last year, so I'm guessing that set was popular and they wanted to try a similar transforming function for this.

It does feel like a cross between the Mech Jet and the Source Dragon of Motion. I do kind of wish it had a slightly different color scheme, but maybe better pictures will change my mind. There is some blue on the underside, after all. I’m also curious to see what it looks like transformed. It could be a fun complement to the Riyu mech from last year.

It’s hard to make out any other details. Seems like a good minifig lineup though, and a sizable villain build.

I did have a prediction that this set would include the Empress mech(but it was either this or the Land bounty as the other sets are too small).

The transformation feature seems predictable on how it's going to work, but because of it also being a mech, the dragon is going to be a lot more poseable, as it even gets elbow articulation(and the only other ninjago dragon to have that was Grief Bringer, and except for that his articulation was very limited. The build itself so far looks solid in my opinion, maybe not as great as other recent dragons, but there is a reason for that. Also I'd need better pictures to fully judge it.

The minifigure selection here is amazing, as there are almost all of the new ninja except Frak. I can't tell if that's a new Wyldfyre or not, but she definitely has an armor piece so at least she isn't going to be 1:1 with her 2025 design. It's also nice to know that the wave 1 elemental monsters are going to return for the summer wave.

Now the Twin titan mechs look just amazing. I absolutely love how unique they made each one, with their proportions and neat weapons/accessories. The minifigures are also great with both Nya and Kai getting new pieces for their hoods, also I've always wanted there to be a sword holder piece for the waist, so it's really nice to be getting that. The Oni Warrior is a big surprise, but it sure is a welcome one, and that also means we are going to get more of them in the other 2 legends sets.

And don't even get me started on the stand, as that's going to allow so much options to pose these mechs.

Haven't seen the Wyldfire dragon yet but the Twin Titan mechs look very cool. I do find it a little weird that they didn't make the Kai Legends mech from last year part of the titan mech line (and that we're now getting another big Kai mech again), but they both look quite awesome and I appreciate how you can customize them a bit by mixing around the removable sections around the shoulders. Also interesting that the Kai and Nya minifigs have swappable heads to make them different characters?

Twin Titan Mechs look great! It's partly the color schemes but they feel very Exo-Force to me, which certainly isn't a bad thing!

EDIT: Just noticed the new hip sheath piece on the ninja in that new set! That's a cool part.

The new Titan Mechs look phenomenal, and I think the “complete” lineup of 6 does a great job at keeping each distinct while using enough visual cues to tie them all together.

My one minor complaint is that for a $140 set they couldn’t just give us two more torsos and legs to have five complete minifigs. Feels very stingy of TLG for a premium product, but overall not a huge deal. I wonder if these two new characters are indeed twins (explaining the set name) and LEGO just included the Kai and Nya pieces so we could have the complete Titan Mech lineup done.

I do find it interesting that we’re getting three of these mechs this year to complete the original six ninja. Do we think that means a change is coming in the near future and this was just a way to close an open thread beforehand? Or maybe the Ninjago team just wants to move onto newer concepts and didn’t want to be beholden to releasing a Titan mech every two years? Personally I’d still welcome additions for Wu, Garmadon, Arin, Sora, and the rest of the new crew. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Finally, that new not-Nya hood piece looks quite similar to the Lloyd CMF hood. I predict we could see a wave where all six ninja have hoods on like this, and these first two examples were ways to spread out the parts budget. Only time will tell, I suppose, but it would be a fun new concept.

I’ve forgotten how to do spoiler tags but the leak also mentions who those two alternate characters are, and it’s really something!

They really do put a lot of effort into these mechs to give them unique silhouettes and interesting builds. All these years in and I’m happy to see I’m not meched out by Ninjago.

And yeah, it’s an awesome new piece! Reminds me of the old Pirates of the Caribbean piece that did something similar, although that was slung over the shoulder rather than be a hip attachment.
