Lyichir Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Bulldozer looks great! A worthy follow up to last year's crane and excavator. It even has working pistons in the engine, a rarity outside the Technic/Creator theme. Quote

I could see like an Articulated Dump Truck in the style of 60445, 60440 and 60408 with the new connecter pieces. Also could see a wrecking ball crane too, what about an excavator for the rails? Cement Mixer as the last non 4+ one was 2013, a construction site would be good. What about updated versions of 7344, 7631, 4434, 4202, 60073, 60075 6 minutes ago, Izzynufc-2 said: I could see like an Articulated Dump Truck in the style of 60445, 60440 and 60408 with the new connecter pieces. LCP Posted April 2 Posted April 2 According to the information revealed today, the number of pieces in the 60473 set is 1941. Quote
Powered by Bricks Posted April 2 Author Posted April 2 So there you have it folks! 1941 pieces and price of 199,99€ How is the set that big? Quote
6129c04 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 @Inspecter From what I understand TLG can revive an old mould anytime they want provided it will be used in order to justify the effort. Apparently it's cheaper to destroy it and then recreate it than to store it. So that design is not lost, unlike TLG's imagination given that they couldn't find opportunities to use that mould over the course of 5 years. Quote
Inspecter Posted April 3 Posted April 3 It may be cheaper, but they still managed to run into a problem when it came to the goat. Quote

Definitely, all the trouble it was bringing back that sought after mould, so no piece of cake to do it. 15 hours ago, 6129c04 said: @Inspecter From what I understand TLG can revive an old mould anytime they want provided it will be used in order to justify the effort. That is probably right, however they must make a new mould and that cost money and definitely a lot more budget/time than using a mould in production already. Quote

A Dump Truck or Front Loader has to be next, I'm guessing by the end of the year? With all these newer releases of construction machines, a Construction Site or Road Construction set(it would be a chance for LEGO City to release road set using black flat pieces) needs to be in the near future. Also an Asphalt Maker would be nice to compliment the Steam Roller(technically that is a Road Roller(I bought 2 of them and converted one to a correct Steam Roller), but LEGO City has never had black colored roads to depict asphalt roads. I'm just happy that LEGO City brought the Construction vibe back after such a long absence with only small trickle-in sets. Keep that with the space stuff! If I were the head person on this design, I would have put a 2nd Subway Train Car to attach to the 1st one, added a 2nd piece of track and omitted the space ship. I'm sure all these components can be branched off. Wondering is there anything inside the tower building? Quote

A mould could probably last a lot longer than 5 years, but apparently the cost of keeping it pristine and store it is not worth it if the mould are not planned used for the foreseeable future If they need to replace a mould or update it they will just do that whenever. I remember the modular bank(?) had the original parrot mould in the start of the run and later got the updated one.. Quote

LCP Posted April 5 Posted April 5 It turns out that there are at least 22 Lego City sets to be released in the first half of 2026. https://www.instagram.com/p/DIEmXabzRLA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Quote

Roebuck Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Is not that a lot? Could it be more formel 1 or something similar with a lot of sets? Hopefully some animals Quote

The ripper mounted on the back is a nice touch. Yeah, I'm also waiting for a good new tipper or dump truck to accompany the excavator. Wheel loader would also be a cool addition to the construction armada. Quote
TeriXeri Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) Just recently built 60460 No Limits: Race Car Ramp Track , box image doesn't do it justice as it's much larger then it appears. Also the posters and checkered tiles are prints. And there's a lot of room underneath to build custom stuff, but they still finished it up with tiles under there. Also was really fun to see one episode of LEGO Masters 2025 Netherlands/Belgium did one episode about Soapbox cars where they had to race while losing the least pieces :) Edited April 7 by TeriXeri Quote

FinlayTheFaithful Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Maybe next week since they'll probably officially reveal them in May Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Thanks for the news! The Bulldozer looks great. In contrast, I'm absolutely disappointed about the outcome of the City Tower. I wish back the summer 2023 wave when we got (really ocerpriced, but) many different and amazing civilian buildings! Quote

I got most of them reduced, I’m wondering what the central station will look like Quote
Izzynufc-2 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Just seen a drawing of central station, looks good with its clock tower and pigeons Quote
