2GodBDGlory Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 That's a fun little project! I can imagine it would be quite the puzzle to keep it all together Also, the Korean keyboard in the picture is a neat curiosity for me to see! Quote

Currently it's winter in my country, which makes things a bit difficult at times. I remade the chassis and widened the body by 2 studs, now the model uses portal hubs and has much higher ground clearance. I have recorded some clips of it driving, and edited them together pretty minimally. In my infinite wisdom I recorded some of them in 720p, so those are in a separate video. Quote
Fluwoeb Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 (edited) Here are some pictures of the weight of the (mostly) finished product. Don't worry, I tared/zeroed the scale with the cutting board first so it wouldn't be added to the final weight of the truck. I attached both Imperial and Metric forms of measurement for y'all:) It's one hefty beast! It weighs 4lbs 2.2oz or nearly 1.9 kg (1877 grams)! Edited August 4, 2024 by Fluwoeb Quote

Escapement is interesting as well, never seen panels used like that. I suppose the 6-sided escape wheel made gearing easier than, for example, 8-sided propeller/fan piece? msk6003 Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 (edited) For people anyone who interested to custom chain/track for tank or other thing This is my custom sprocket design for custom chain which I found few years ago. I didn't post it because I planned to use it for my K1A2 MOC but it delayed to much so I change my mind. Even on this setup chain can work perfectly but if you have some kind of 5L circule thing like 68327 can use for more stable working. Edited August 27, 2024 by msk6003 Quote

msk6003 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Lego beyblade X Surprisingly it works very well. Even can do extreme dash(riding red gear line) Original beyblade x product has 3 hook on both bey and launcher. It can possible to make as lego form but need 44374 rotor 3 blade half thick which is VERY rare and expensive. So I made my model as 4 hook. Quote

Aurorasaurus Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Today, I've been working on a Land Rover Defender. I've taken a lot of inspiration (copied ) Viktor's 42177 alt for the front end. Then I freestyled the rest. The doors are spring loaded so they wont come open on their own, but the hood is permanently shut as it is somewhat structural. I'm happy with the progress I made, given I only started ~18 hours ago. I plan to motorize it with RC electronics, but we'll see. There's some clear parts where I am lacking the correctly colored parts, but I've made sure that they are available in white where I've used these. The body weighs >750g already, this will be a very heavy model. More photos: https://bricksafe.com/pages/Aurorasaurus/land-rover-defender/wip Thanks for reading! Quote

What a coincidence, I am at the finish line of building Lego Technic off-road truck that is based on TRX-4 with Land Rover Defender body on it. TRX4 pictures were used mostly for reference, but I can see that hood is almost identical, haha (was it based as well on recent Lego set G500?). The rest looks different, and I don't have a snap-on body (which is a pity tbh). My model will be powered using a new BL motor(I actually need to make a video showcasing differences between those). Spring-loaded doors are something I need to aim for next time, because in my case, they are opened during cornering :D. Looking forward to video presenting the model. I need to finish my 3rd motor and will be ready to film as well. Quote

Aurorasaurus Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) In the past week, I finally got around to making instructions for one of my favorite models: Hammerhead. (called so because I thought it looked like the fish) I've had this model for >3 months now, and thought it was finally time to share about it a little bit. I will make a full post for it soon enough, but for now I would love it if some people could have a look through the instructions and tell me any problems you see with them. Because I designed it, I will never see these problems the way others can. It runs on 2x buwizz 3.0s, and 4x buwizz motors geared 12:20 from the fast output, 2 per rear wheel. Live axle rear suspension, independent front suspension. I feel that the chassis even looks somewhat realistic, it has some complex angles and is very robust indeed. Hammerhead is on the left here, the other one is a failure. Instructions Studio file A few more photos Edited February 8 by Aurorasaurus Add studio file link Quote
Aurorasaurus Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) I've made 3 off-road racing vehicles, and they are all absolute joys to drive. The trophy truck, Hammerhead, has 4 buwizz motors and rwd, with a live axle at the rear and independent suspension at the front. The front suspension is slightly modified from Madoca's trophy truck, and the rear axle is modified from the big buwizz trophy truck. I have published free instructions for this model. The green buggy needs a name, it has rwd with 2 buwizz motors, and it is based on agrof's class 1 unlimited buggy. But it is a complete overhaul, the body is actually structural, so the whole model is very light and strong. The front suspension was also overhauled to have a second steering rack and a stronger setup overall. The blue rally car is 42077's body with a complete redesign of the chassis. It is powered by a brushless motor 1400kv and a 3s lipo, and is also rwd (to keep it slightly fairer compared to the other vehicles) I've also recently got a gimbal and a new phone, and started filming with a tripod rather than attaching a phone to my controller. Unfortunately, this makes most of the footage I got of the hammerhead in the past 4 months useless :/ I'm considering building the green buggy digitally so I can make instructions for it, but the rally car has too many specialised parts.
