Always fun to see his disguise evolve- his name and profile aren't a clear tip off this time, but he's got a unique speech pattern and no one else on this forum links stuff. Always happy to watch the Turtle persona evolve. Called it a month ago. 1 hour ago, Renny The Spaceman said: No, new guy, don't trust the words of a man with several holes in his head Don't most of us have several holes in our head? Quote

Maybe if you're a weird freak with like a nose, or ears, or a mouth. Am I the only normal person who's head is just complete smooth with no distinguishing features? Quote

You know, I might, if the servers didn't shut down somehow more than Eurobricks I'd have finished one I started in Bugthorpe (not got the same reputation as the other two but still, funny British places to namedrop) might do one over Coventry Market too for other reasons Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Glad to see the bionicle representation, and what assumably is a reference to Reviving Bionicle with the "Hail Denmark, Praise Be to Lego" quote. Quote
Swordy Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Love the reference to Summer of Slug ‘25, truly a highlight of my summer. I’m saddened by how far off and lonely Man is from the rest of the group. D. Dummy is the best part, of course (the big monument in the top left, yes, but also the little emoji next to the chopped LEGO logo). Curious why Twitchy from Ninjago is in a large, looming silhouette; never in my all my days did I consider him a part of the LEGO Omniverse-war-lore, large or small. Quote

True, Summer of Slug is always a highlight of the season, I onnly started on wPlace because it kept coming up in the SoS Discord. Funny enough I was going to Slough to make another Dummy as @CloneCommando99 asked and saw a Slug based piece of art so added Dummy to it (it was definitely Slugger based, no other situations would have the word Slug used). Here's the rest of Slough if anyone's curious. Spoiler 4 hours ago, Swordy said: I’m saddened by how far off and lonely Man is from the rest of the group. If he stays, there can be no party. he must be out there in the night, staying vigilant. Wherever a party needs to be saved, he's there. Wherever there are masks, wherever there's tomfoolery and joy, he's there. But sometimes he's not cause he's out in the night, staying vigilant. Watching. Lurking. Running. Jumping. Hurtling. Sleeping. No, he can't sleep. You sleep. he's awake. he doesn't sleep. he doesn't blink. is he a bird? No. he's a man. he is man. Or is he? Yes, he is man. 17 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: Glad to see the bionicle representation, and what assumably is a reference to Reviving Bionicle with the "Hail Denmark, Praise Be to Lego" quote. Yeah, quite a few Bionicle things dotted around, had a friend describe the site as a map of people's autism, Bionicle was always gonna show up on something like that. 4 hours ago, Swordy said: Curious why Twitchy from Ninjago is in a large, looming silhouette; never in my all my days did I consider him a part of the LEGO Omniverse-war-lore, large or small. We've probably had the same emoji's on this forum for decades at this point, how hard would we need to Jonkle to get a dummy one? Quote
Renny The Spaceman Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Do we think Minifigures were just more evil in the early 2000s? Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 21 minutes ago, Renny The Spaceman said: Do we think Minifigures were just more evil in the early 2000s? No. Lex Luthor didn’t get released until the 2010s. And he stole forty cakes. That’s as many as four tens. And that’s terrible. Has any other Lego villain been that evil? Then there’s Master Chen, a 2015 minifigure who was sinister enough to take Puffy Potstickers off the menu. And if those aren’t evidence enough… Corncob was released in 2017. Quote

Magisto? Classic Skull. Captain Redbeard? The sick trans-red classic skull. Corn Cob? One of those massive molded Ninjago ones Quote

Mechs will remain undefeated as the best superheroes theme gimmick. The super jumper was arguably the best of the gimmicks as it solely consisted of adding a piece to a normal set. If you didn't want the gimmick you could simply discard the jumper and you were left with a totally normal set with no value difference. It almost feels unfair to count it- it's more of a power burst/power blast type thing. Mechs are the best that comprise a major feature of a set or take up set slots. 3 hours ago, Renny The Spaceman said: Haha, they all use the smart brick? They're betting hard on that. They're really pushing it, so I wouldn't be surprised if it held on until the end of 2027, but it's gonna be a rough few years for lego sales wise if they're going (batman) all-in like this. The good news is we'll probably be able to get these sets for the prices they'd be if they didn't include a smart brick due to the absurd sales they'll be on. I thought summer 2025 sets were gonna be on sale by christmas and that would be the worst in recent LSW history- I wouldn't be surprised if some retailers had the March sets on significant sales by star wars day.
