Really funny how we're getting leaked pictures for March and April sets already, while we don't even have the set names for the January Jurassic sets.

No surprise to me…. Jurassic World theme itself is well known for a long drought.

Which figure will have an arm for Brooklyn? I looked at the picture but coulding figure out which figure it is. :S

Expand

The Astronomy Fan kid has a prosthetic arm. Since it’s presumably the same/extremely similar to the Friends one that already exists, that means it’s a separate part and the arm that’s actually part of the torso assembly is just a stump (like the minidoll one that already exists in the Friends theme). It’s also the left arm, same as Brooklyn in Chaos Theory, meaning Lego now has the specific mold they’d need to make an updated minifig of her.

The thought of Brooklyn needing a new mould for her torso didn’t even cross my mind (oops). But yeah the astronomy kid from S27 works! I also don’t expect any new Dino moulds (only recolours) in this wave (new moulds in the next wave) so I can see the budget being allocated to help fund the S27 mould (idk if that’s even how it works lollll)

Are there any rumours of either a Ford Explorer or a Jeep Wrangler getting the „Icons movie cars“ treatment?

That has been my wish for the last couple of years but Lego never grants it 😢

Unfortunately i havent heard anything about that, or anything else about these upcoming sets for a matter of fact, but that would be cool.

I was also thinking of a cool possible set, i was thinking of that leaked Marvel studios logo set, and thought what if Legos making a Jurassic Park/World logo set, since the movie logos are all pretty similar, i think it'd be cool to have a red/yellow Jurassic Park Logo, with the t rex skeleton, the plants at the bottom and the text running through it, and then it can be turned around and have the blue/grey Jurassic World logo, i think that could be quite cool! Not sure if they would put any figures in this set but that'd make it even better, ehat do you guys think?

Well it would depend on how it turns out ultimately. It isn´t really something on my wishlist and not a set I would be looking for, but nothing I would say I would never buy either - because it can just turn out to look cool in the end. Have to say though, small chance I would buy one, and very small one to buy two signs. Jurassic Park has the way better chances there.

True, that kind of set is a hit or miss, i think feom memory the lego marvel sign looked cool, liked how they had the avengers running around it too, but perhaps they could get the Jurassic Park logo and add some foliage around it, like some trees to hold it up, make it look cool and tropical

A pity, since Lego has all the licenses for the cars. The Ford might be more iconic, but the Jeep would give Lego the opportunity to create a 3 in 1 set (with rollbar / with hardtop or just with the windshield).

The logo has potential but wouldn‘t it be too similar to the Rex skull?

That would be pretty cool, a properly detailed Jeep, we have gotten those vehicles before in the general sets, but it would be cool to see them get an upgrade! Or even vehicles from other movies like the mercedes in TLW for example.

Not exactly, they are the same thing, but in different builds, ones a skeleton, the other a logo, and they would be built quite differently i imagine

Hmm, would have to see it next to the adult one. Kinda looks a bit to much like a 4+ creature. But probably it just looks bigger on the picture than it actually is.

An upcoming Marvel set (11199) has a new baby Pterosaur mould 👀

Expand

Haha, nice spotting, im on the fence about it, like Black Falcon says, it does look quite large and bulky, but who knows, might look better in a different paint scheme!

Edit: actually looking at it again, that molds grown on me, i quite like it, but not the Pteranoqwen coloursheme though 🤣 also that baby triceratops looks very depressed 🤣

I hope if Lego reuses the new pterodactyl mold for jurassic world it looks better, It almost gives me friends vibes. I was kinda hoping it would be sitting down maybe with it's wings spread not in eternal flight like it's older brothers.

What’s up wiht thier color schemes?

Well, i want to add more dinos to my collection, i buy every JW set, and i have the 2012 Dino figures too which are awesome, so im not against getting the dinos from other themes, its just those specific figures colours dont fit into my personal aesthetic i guess is the best way to put it. Like, the baby triceratops is colourless, it feels weirdly drained, maybe it looks better in person though, and the Pteranodon has a very cartoonish colour scheme and printing which is good for what its going for, does it brilliantly, but not my cup of tea lol, anyone else get what i mean?

Yeah, I do, I'd rather my dinos be actual animals than technicolor caricatures

Gotcha. I never like “colorless/trans” dinosaurs myself. But I understand what you mean. Those Marvel dinosaurs might look cartoony becuase of colors. On the other hand, JW dinosaurs are colored quite “unaturally” - white raptor, black-and-blue Allosaurus, etc.

Just so you know there are pictures of the marvel dino sets out at least the 2. I feel I need to describe the pterodactyl colouring, it's white with purple marks around the eyes and blue spider web markings on what would be the wing membranes. I think it's either spider gwen's pet/friend or spider gwen herself's "Dino" form.
