I'm entering this build on behalf of my 7yo son. We'll dub him 'Lil Stormy. He has observed and helped with the creation of my Rock Island Refuge and wanted to join in the fun. He's titled this one "The Lizard" despite it not having an actual lizard. He's edgy like that lol. Anyways it's a detailed little cliffside scene of an intrepid individual in search of treasure on an unexplored isle. Many dangers abound both on land and in the sea.

It does look like a cliff indeed, nice landscaping. Maybe if it could be smaller it could go to Mini Builds category.

Not sure if rules allow POTC skin on minifigs tho?

Anyway, if You'd like to bring more life into it, enchance it with for more action, i's suggest to hide something in that cliff, like maybe there's a golden sword sticking out of the side? Or some other artifact/valuable stuff, or an important a clue that he would habe to investigate, if he's looking for something or someone. It could be right under that tree, and it could be an excuse to force that fellow into climbing down, with shark being a treat. A rope could be helpful in such case, as it could be attached to that little tree.

Heh, and now this thought a similar scene from Cutthroat Island to my mind, where Geena Davies and Matthew Modine had to climb down on a rope down the cliff to get to a cave full of treasure. Tho obiously they had a much bigger set in there ;) But they also had enemies waiting for them at the top of the cliff, and Your fellow is alone, safe from the land side... with an enemy lurking in the sea instead ;)

This is insanely good for age 7.  I don't know that I have any pics of the stuff I built when I was that age, it was back when cameras used film and it each picture cost money to be developed so my parents didn't take many, but let me tell you, nothing I built was anywhere near this nice.

The color scheme is befitting any AFOL design, nice use of dark green and sand green grass.  The bracken, lonely tree, and hostile animals portray a desolate landscape where our grizzled hero is forced to choose between starvation or death by spider bite, or jumping to swim and risk his chances with the shark.

The masonry bricks don't really make sense on a natural cliff, but that's minor, so who cares...  Great work.

Thanks, and yeah I never build anything that good as a 7yo either. He definitely used some varied vegetation for realism. He LOVES those masonry bricks though. I got a few cups from a PAB wall last year.
