Zerobricks Posted August 31, 2023 Author Posted August 31, 2023 Hi As promised, here's a link to the LDD file. Remember that you need to use the community-expanded version and I recommend turning the physical check off when opening the file: https://bricksafe.com/files/Zblj/tc2523-scale-42069-extreme-adventure/Mini 42069.lxf Thanks again to everyone for all the praise, it made me feel nice and warm inside Quote

Ngoc Nguyen Posted August 31, 2023 Posted August 31, 2023 @Zerobricks I have a couple of point I'd like to clarify to avoid future conflicts: - Am I allowed to make changes to the design to ensure structural integrity or improve building experience? If yes, what's the degree of modification that's acceptable to you? Which features would you want me to retain at much as possible. - Can I publish the instruction on my Rebrickable with proper credits to you? Quote

I don't think any changes will be required, but I think the best place to talk about it is in private. Of course I want to retain all the fatures. Yes, you may. Quote

Gobert Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I'm excited to give this one a try! Thanks for the instructions! The original model was one of the most interesting manual models that surprised me. First, I remember there were no numbered bags for some reason, and I had avoided spoilers, so I was surprised by all of the secondary functions like the pop top roof and the wing doors. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 I whipped up the function pages. Better late than never. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 User seregiz built this model with red and it looks ABSOLUTELY fire!!! Quote
Zerobricks Posted May 7, 2024 Author Posted May 7, 2024 I'm so happy to see the amazing job @Ngoc Nguyen did with the instructions and all the people having fun rebuilding this model. It's positive feedback like that that really inspires me to keep on building and giving back to the community! Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Finally got some time to build this model in real life according to the instruction I made. I went back to fix some errors and made some changes to make the building experience easier. I also made two major redesigns. The first redesign is the removal of the shock absorbers for the door. The role of the shock absorbers is to create a bistable mechanism. However, the current linkages already guarantee that, as I discovered in the real build. The removal of the shock absorbers also makes it easier to close the doors. The second change is the angle at which the front links connect to the door. In the original version, when the upper parts of the doors are opened, the links bend too much outward from the tow balls, and sometimes they just detach from the tow balls. Therefore I changed the angle of the tow balls to make the connections more secure. New instruction and new part list have been updated on Rebrickable. Quote
bruh Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Alright! This is really cool, you did a great job on the instructions. Quote
bruh Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Wow, it really is a lot smaller than the original. Quote
