Agreed. I was mainly thinking of that the list of available candidates for us to speculate about will decrease. :)

They might very well start using older cars as template for the future 1:8 series cars though.

More probably in this price we won't get any differential but only two-wheel drive (if the leak with this set is real).

I actually think the 9700 will be in scale with the 9R. I know it's 500-odd parts, but 42121 has that amount, and it's pretty small.

Could be, but then front 56 tractor tires and rear?

I also thought that this years 948 would be based on Zetros tires due to parts count...

Jeep tyres up front, I'd say. For the rear tyres, it'll probably be a smaller, non-chevron tyre.

Anyway, all of the above speculation on my part is assuming it even has a corn forage-type header. It might be the hay/grass type.

Again, I highly doubt that. The 42136 has 390 pieces, the tractor itself only 280 pieces. Even with more function elements and the front attachment I don't see how to squeeze in 280 pieces more. For me I really hope and anticipate the bigger wheel combination ;-)

I have some time after work today to make a sketch of the model with 81 tires :-)

The 9700 might include a trailer as well, given that a forage harvester has no internal storage. Plus, I'd think the header would take up quite a percentage of the part count.

Ok, if it would include a trailer (which could also be attached to the Deere 9R), then I can see it happen in this scale.

I doubt it. This could be done with trains too, but they don't (anymore)

Something like this with 81 parts so far:

- Main wheels drive the front mower unit, which can also be lifted. Other functions are steering and movement of arm.

I think hubs are too expensive for such scale, but otherwise to achieve narrow (enough) it would need 2 axles 5.5 with stop...

Considering other tire for this wheel(56891 and 35578) size will be 37 x 16 or 37 x 18.

Hmm they hab been used in the 42037, which had less than 500 pieces :-P

Yes, but IMHO 42037 is bigger set (dimensions in studs); we'll see anyway when TLC decide that time has come

There used to be a pattern of just after Christmas we'd see "leaked" images of the second half sets but now there doesn't appear to be much of a pattern to it, other than being about a month before release at the earliest.
