Nice little island.
With that much foliage on front, why not give us a hint of the face of an Islander Statue peaking through the greenery? A nose and eye or something peaking through the leaves? Would break up the massive 'green view' a bit.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of that. But I will use that idea next time. 😉🏴☠️🍻

Definitely looks a bit over the top for the piddly little set it's purportedly remaking. But on a purely aesthetic basis, I do love what you've done with the curtain of flowering ivy.

I thought about a simpler way to cover it, but I didn't like it, it was too retro for me.

I'd say it kinda works, but if you don't want a half-retro and half-modern set, maybe change the bottom rocks to dark grey? Would avoid the simplicity you've got going at the back.

Overall the remake looks great, from the foliage to the rocks and all the small details. This said I still have some suggestions, First, there is a bit too much foliage around the front of the cave (after all you want to see inside, right?) the accessories are great from the coconuts and the fish but I think you could add the spider or a crab. The colors look great and so does the updated minifig. I look forward to any updates, Happy building :)

That's the point, there's a lot of foliage and it covers the little one in the cave. If it were visible, they would rob nutless pirate so badly that all he would have left is that one hidden gold bar. 😀

Very nice! I see pirates do like to drink quite a lot on Your versions of these sets ;) Bottles, bottles everywhere ;) That hidden entrance to the cave is awesome, but my favorite parts is an emergency stash, hope that gold bar isn't stuck in that hole tho? It looks like if it fit too tightly, but maybe that's just the way the photo shows it, and our pirate fellow won't have any problems to pick it out, with small help of his sabre perhaps?

And honestly, i prefer Your first version, with one palm tree. Two of them is too much :)
