EvilEnderman Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 (edited) After a lot of people downloaded my 3 wheeler V8 alternate build of doms charger, I thought i'd keep it on three wheels and build a reliant robin. Powered by BuWizz 2.0 and BuWizz motor, although the gearing pictured will change to 1:1 as I keep tripping the overload thermistor. It's amazing fun, and will very likely tip over if you're not careful! Despite putting stabiliser wheels on it, it still flips over... Free instructions coming on Rebrickable, as well as a proper full length youtube video now I have a proper tripod. # Edited May 14, 2023 by EvilEnderman Quote
Murdoch17 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Great MOC! However, it needs a lime green mini cooper to knock it into next week. Quote
Daniel-99 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Very smooth body shapes! O love C-pillars and a cheating A-pillar design! Quote
vergogneless Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 It appears so fun, well played on the concept! I am eager to witness the video :D Quote
Void_S Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Oh, no! These side-support wheels are pure cheating. It should suffer! Quote
Alex Ilea Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Very cool build! I really enjoy these small and fun builds! Quote
EvilEnderman Posted May 16, 2023 Author Posted May 16, 2023 (edited) https://bricksafe.com/pages/Ender/reliant-robin-evening-shoot New photos taken in some sunset lighting. Instructions should be online by Sunday. Edited May 16, 2023 by EvilEnderman Quote
StudWorks Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 I love it so much! After watching the Top Gear video a while back I had the idea too of "BuWizz Reliant Robin Mayhem." Can't wait for instructions so I could build my own! Quote
Jude Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Looks so much fun! Few years ago i tried to do this too, chassis was ready but i never finished the body. Now only thing that is missing is Clarkson figure Quote
vergogneless Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 As expected: fun What is the next project? Quote
grum64 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 (edited) Love this although personally I think it'd look better in a different colour. My parents had a Supervan III for 4-5 years and they only got rid of it because it had gotten increasingly difficult for my brother and I to fit in the back . Edited May 17, 2023 by grum64 Quote

I plan to do a trotter's traders Reliant Regal mod of this at some point, just got to order a bunch more yellow panels. 3 hours ago, vergogneless said: What is the next project? I've been tempted to make a Bedford pickup or a japanese Kei truck for a while... Quote
EvilEnderman Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 Instructions out on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-149133/EvilEnderman/rc-reliant-robin-buwizz/#details Inventory doesn't include BuWizz. Does anyone know if there's a proper .dat model of a BuWizz somewhere on this forum? I made a very crude version using PartDesigner to illustrate the concept, but it doesn't look quite right. Quote
SUPER Max Black Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 (edited) Cool and fun car. You could do a Reliant Bond Bug. He doesn't look as cool, but just as clumsy as the Reliant Robin. Edited May 23, 2023 by SUPER Max Black Quote
