Granted (), he is mostly known for his funny death scene, which may factor in, but still. At least Muldoon is likely coming in the Clever Girl set! Yup, I think our only shots at getting Gennaro were this wave and last year's T-Rex paddock set. At least this theme isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so maybe we'll get him when they start doing remakes of these sets years down the line.
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 (edited) I love the sound of this wave. Wish they included more new characters tho — I feel like the 50€ set could easily include more than two minifigures — especially considering the builds are yet another Ford Explorer, and a mountain of dinosaur poo The Brachiosaurus set is definitely a must-buy for me. RichardGoring Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 These sound really good, with the exception of the visitor center, which sounds good, but the scale suggests it will be disappointing. Looking forward to seeing images.

Then again, if you did it to scale, it would be a $500, and we probably don't need ANOTHER one of those right now.

I was thinking it could be used as the second part of the tail, if they made it a two-parter. But if the given measurements are accurate, then a tail reuse seems very likely

Maybe it‘s designed to fit or include the control room/kitchen/embryo storage setting from set 75932 Velociraptor Chase?

SketchBrick Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Promobricks has posted a great article with some minor updates to what we already know from yesterday: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-jurassic-world-2023-vorschau/152912/ Sounds like we'll indeed be getting open/closed top variants of the Jeep, and the Ford Explorer will be largely the same as in the diorama set! I bet the whole fleet will look amazing together on display. The Brachiosaurus can also stand on its hind legs, which I think will look awesome. Plus, looks like we are getting an East Dock sign with Nedry's Jeep set! It seems Gennaro is confirmed to not be included, which is a bummer, but there's still hope for Muldoon.

So, you're saying that the body and the tail of the Brachio alone are as long as the full T.rex and it would be even longer if the head and neck would be put horizontaly? If that's the case it would definitely be a very reasonable size considering the set's price and that it includes a large tree and Jeep aswell. Honestly, this set sounds like it may be one of the greatest deals for it's price point, lol Edited February 23, 2023 by StegoLover
Agent Kallus Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Indy's new hair hat combo could look good recoloured for Alan, SpongeBob beat me to the punch on the indy thread but yeah.

It's hard to get the pose of a model from 3 measurements I made a paper box with the dimensions of the description to do comparisons with.

Care was taken to ensure that the dinosaur's neck and tail can be moved in such a way that it can easily stand on its hind legs, just like in the film." I hope they just forgot to mention a jaw or the feeding feature will be even more imaginary.
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 What are those random prices tho — 38€? 27€? 53€?

Maybe it's just a mistake, exclusive to that German website. It's absolutely lovely to hear that Brachio will be molded entirely instead of those Avatar hybrids; I hope that all the parts will be exclusive tho, because the only logically reusable part would be the Rexy tail, but that would probably look a bit too skinny tbh. Also, I'd rate the Brachio a solid 9/10 if it also had a seperate jaw piece, like the Gallimimus, but, thinking about it realistically, nothing will top it's amazing design from the Lego JW game, unless they'll make it identical to that one ofc, although I may be a bit too picky and overexcited here Annnnd, my young JP Henry Wu version prediction for the Visitor Center was correct so I'm pretty surprised about that haha Edited February 23, 2023 by StegoLover
Time Dragon Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 I was hoping the brachiosaurus's neck would be two pieces or at least be able to turn left and right like in the game. We'll probably have to wait for pictures for that level of analysis.

I'm going to try and wait until the end of the year for some sales, since inevitably most of the non-D2C will end up ~20% off at some point :)
Time Dragon Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 So I did some math using the an average human height of 1.75 meters for humans and the height of a jurassic park brachiosaurus at 18 meters. So if the size difference was consistent the brachiosaurus would be 44 bricks and 2 plates tall using a minifigure height at 4 bricks 1 plate. The dimensions I got from measuring it's dimensions in bricks are 25 bricks tall, 35 bricks long, and 8 bricks wide.

Toa Palpo Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 The more we learn about this wave, the more exciting it is. The Brachiosaurus set especially has me extremely excited! I'm very pleasantly surprised it will be fully molded. If I get no other Jurassic set this year, I'm for sure getting that one.
