[CADA] CADA General Discussion Topic

Lots of good stuff in that catalog. The only CaDa sets I have are their 1:24 Sauber F1 car and their Space Shuttle designed by Eric Trax, but there's quite a few sets in that catalog that I might like to get. The Speed Racer Mach V, of course, is a must-buy.

I am really tempted to order the AMG GT3 but my experience with the poor sticker quality of the large Sauber F1 car has made me hold back.

My most enjoyable CADA build to date is the black 911 GT primarily because it doesn't have any stickers!

CADA IMHO really need to catch up with Lego regarding stickers as thats their achilles heel.

Is there anyone who has obtained & built the AMG GT3 please tell me if it has stickers,  if so is the quality good & do they have large clear areas that span multiple pieces?

 

EDIT Don't worry Facebook answered - No stickers all printed.

Yep, I implemented a gearbox and manual operations. There are 4 different HOG functions in the front:

• HOG steering
• HOG gear shifting
• HOG left door
• HOG right door

Plus, the rear wing is extended & retracted via a hidden gear underneath the rear.

What is this Add Power? I could not find any info about them online. 3rd party electronics company? Do you have more info?

They use brushless wheelhub motors and other rc components.

Thanks, sounds interesting. I see that most components are just standard RC electronics without any lego compatible housing, the main thing is the in-wheel motors and custom rims, but that can result in good play experience and easy installation.

The color scheme and manual version of the AMG One are great. Kinda regret buying the motorized, silver grey version now.
The Alpine's look really good and the print quality is superb (source HdS video):

I have good news and bad news.

The bad news: There will be no JCB excavator. Now that it has disappeared from the catalogue I can say it but can't provide more details.

The good news: I'm currently working on another version with a different brand. We're doing everything we can to release it this year. An added bonus is that I can fix all the JCB issues in a new set, plus it'll eat a Lego Volvo for breakfast.

 

P.S. I built the prototype in regular yellow. At JCB's request, we changed it to Bright Light Orange.
