This definitely raises my hopes that we’ll get 2-3 NWH sets (although even one big, well done set would be enough!)

What an exciting list already! @CF Mitch if my quick Brickset search isn’t mistaken, Marvel sets are currently occupying the 762xx set number range so it’s likely that most of these at least are from Marvel.

Well based on what we already know, the April sets are the Guardians, plus an unknown $80 set

The $90 in May is The Marvels and 76221 is the Flash set

 

 

Doing a little detective work, 76224 from August, being a lower number than the others, and also near the Flash number, might mean this set was in development to be released this year, but has been pushed back.

Granted I know absolutely nothing about how long it takes LEGO to plan sets, so I'm probably talking rubbish, but The Marvels has a lower number than Quantumania, so the sets could've been in production before the films switched

As of last year Harry Potter have been using 763** numbers, so while these should all fall to the Super Heroes theme, I do wonder what will happen when Marvel catches up

For christmas today I got the Daily Bugle, as well as a gag gift of the 4+ spider trike (Joke's on them, I've been collecting spideys and didn't have the 4+ miles yet).

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

Something in every month till June, nice. Remember to plan purchases as a Marvel polybags is in February and an unknown Superhero polybag is in June, along with other promotionals throughout the year. Interestingly enough we have the return of an old friend, 76224 which was delayed from 2022 into August 2023.

I could easily see us getting NWH sets though given we have about 15 unknown sets, even if some are DC it seems like a lot considering no Marvel movie release after Captain Marvel 2 in July. Unless we get Blue Beetle sets I think they'd revisit legacy things :purrr:

I think at one stage Flash was going to be a big thing for them, I can see 76224 and 76222 also being Flash sets, of which only 76224 is currently scheduled as an August set. As for Aquaman, the first film was popular and they used that logic to justify a big bust of Black Panther and a more expensive wave for Black Panther 2 so I can see them justifying maybe a small wave of three Aquaman 2 sets at varying prices.

Do we think this is a marvel modular? Right time of year if it's continuing from the sanctum and bugle. But cheaper price is interesting and must rule out a bigger building.

Perhaps... But also maybe a big brickbuilt Groot figure, which can open up and fit Baby Groot inside

Or an Ant Man helmet that is unwelcoming-ly bigger and pricer than it needs to be

 

But yeah a modular was my thought too, but for it to be $200 it would be a smaller one like the Sanctum, by inflation one the size of the Bugle would now cost $300. Avengers Tower seems like it would have too much potential to be smaller than the Bugle, so let's hypothetically say it is modular, what might it be instead?

Baxter Building? $200 seems a bit small, though. Maybe a Hall of Justice for DC?

200 is too little for a modular, and too much for a playset… I'm afraid it's a buildable object without a minifigure.  terrified ☹️ Exabricklegogo on insta talks about a new mosaic for Spider-Man, the ART code is different from normal sets, right?  so it's not in the list

Even ignoring that it has to be smaller than the Bugle, I can't imagine a modular building that isn't the Avengers tower.

Like sure, the Baxter Building/Oscorp/X Manor are a thing, but there's exactly zero chance we're getting those any time soon (if at all).

Yeah sadly you're probably right. My thinking was sanctum set minus a few figs and a few hundred pieces might be 200 dollars. But looking at how much the regular modulars prices have jumped up a marvel one seems unlikely.

This could be an advent calendar? Harry Potter and star wars also have sets for the same price in August too. I know they are usually September but the harry Potter one has been mooted as and advent calendar.

But the bookshop is 200, and target had the sanctum for 200, which I’m guessing is before price increase, so $200 could still be a modular, but then again, I just built the sanctum, worth 250

The X-Mansion is just wishful thinking on my part. MCU X-Men is still several years away and I'll take anything we can get before then. The bright side is that Lego isn't shy about releasing multiple sets based upon animated series such as Spidey & His Amazing Friends, DC Superhero Girls and What If so at least X-Men 97 has a chance.

I do hope the new Quinjet becomes the new standard for Marvel vehicles going forward. That and the 2021 Benatar have really set the bar and I'm curious to see if the new $100 GOTG Vol 3 ship will be done in a similar manner complete with display stand. The Blackbird will certainly need the same amount of interior space to be able to seat the entire team.

The X-Mansion wouldn't even work as a modular building. Its supposed to be a secluded manor in the countryside, not part of a large city block located in the heart of NYC like the other Marvel buildings are.

Hypothetically if Lego were to ever release it as a set I'd expect it would be done in the form of a dollhouse facade like Arkham Asylum and Newbury High School were. Given how similar the exteriors are between the three it can easily be pulled off at that $150-200 price range.

Black Panther bust as well, didn't take long for the prices to drop. Wonder if that will be enough to make people want to buy them, Queer Eye has been 40% off for a long time now and it's still keeping shelves warm.
