BJL Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Hi everyone, my first post here. I want to build a good rc vehicle, but since I only have M motors, it's hard to create a good steering system. The simple solutions to create return-to-center steering with elastic bands and springs don't really work. It doesn't fully return to the center and the motor doesn't like it either. So, I really need a servo motor, but I don't want to spend €50,- (idiotic prices) for one. The fake servo's seem like a decent alternative. The BlueBrixx servo looks relatively good to me (only €10,- !) . I don't really car about that they only have 3 positions instead of 15, because I have a standard Lego IR controller and so I can't use all those positions anyway. Does anyone have experience with these motors? Do they fully return to the center? And how long do they last? Quote
Jim Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Hi, Congrats on your first post hehe. I have zero experience with BlueBrixx, so I won't be able to help you. Maybe other members will chime in. I do wonder wether you really need RTC. A geared down solution with an M motor doesn't suffice? Quote
msk6003 Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 If I remember correctly that is basically RC servo like Hitech, Futuba. Not lego servo. Quote
Tcm0 Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 The bluebrixx electronics in general have a quality problem and the servo motors don't work properly. At least the first batch didn't work properly. You can find reviews etc on youtube. Quote
