SpinX125 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Bay of Lost Tresures I want to share some pictures, of the layout I have been working on for the past year. Since 21322 "Pirates of Barracuda Bay" came out last year, I was aware that I would try a pirate layout, this super cool set really set the memories back to the first pirate sets that came back in '89 / '90. My brother and I had many good times with the pirates from that time, we unfortunately did not have many of the big sets. My brother had one of the ships (I mean it was 6274 Caribbean Clipper) and I had some of the small sets including 6251 Pirate Mini Figures and 6257 Castaway's Raft. (still have these 2 sets and they are well used) Bay of Lost Tresures is an island in the pirate land, many miles from Barracuda Bay. The crew from Black Seas Barracuda has come ashore on the island and has found themselves comfortable here, they live side by side with the Imperial soldiers who guard the island, maybe it is very good that the soldiers do not know Captain Redbeard and his crew's past. Most of the crew stays around the inn, as long as they have something in the bottles, they do not cause trouble. Tattooga spends most of his time in the company of his fishing rod. Jack Sassy Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Wow! Words cannot describe how mazing this layout is, all those small details in every part of it, and those tiles must've taken a long time to finish the water area. This is far beyond cooler than my small layout (of similar size, minus most buildings), but this also encourages me to make better than I have now. Amazing, amazing job! Quote

VaneStream Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 (edited) Wow! I love this! What a beautiful port and fort! Edited May 1, 2021 by VaneStream Quote
evancelt Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Great job! Lovely angles, textures, and techniques. The year of work you put into it shows! Quote
Professor Thaum Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 An incredible and impressive slideshow ! What a job you've done here ! Nice touches the beam into stronghold walls. And all this houses facades, all with a different style but the same touch. Special mention to the fisherman's house, the palmtrees "forest" and this sandcastle Quote
GeoBrick Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Its... incredible! A nice array of different colors, lots of little jokes, and a pretty straightforward style. And I can only echo Phes' question: is it done already, or are for instance the medieval market village houses in the back a placeholder? Quote
NOD Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Great! So many interesting details! I can look for hours and always discover something new. Quote

For now its done, i dont have more space for this layout, i might change up some small details at some point. Maybe i will change the market village, i have not decidere that yet, ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Love to read all your comments, thanks to all, and keep em coming Quote
AntiZombie Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 This is a fantastic pirate layout! Love it! Well done :) Quote
BrickMatit Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 (edited) What a fantastic scene you created. I really like it I love everything but especially the treasure island on the left and two caves on the right. Edited May 5, 2021 by BrickMatit Quote
sandtrooper Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 What a beautifully made scene! The buildings and layout of them is outstanding. But most of all I appreciate all of the humorous scenes included in the build from the leaking boat, to the pigs drinking liquor (rum?), to the guy exiting the privy, to the soldier who forgot his pants - brilliant! Brickander Brickumnus Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 (edited) This is just superb! Out of curiosity.. do you have an idea of how many bricks you used and cost (approximately)? Brickander Brickumnus Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Adding a ship will make it even better, I think! Like Pirates of Barracuda Bay raiding the port! Quote
Fraunces Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 What a beauty! Magnificient work. So many details to enjoy Quote
JJBricker Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 This is... AMAZING!!! Thanks for sharing! Makes me want to disassemble every one of my sets to start work on something such as this! Though I wouldn’t do half as good a job as you. Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Wow ! That's a big city ! Excellent work all around ! My favourite ppart is the fisherman's house with the shark head at the entrance door ! A great idea ! Excellent job ! Quote
blackdeathgr Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Pure beauty! Everything is great and well in scale with each other. The whole build tells a fully fledged story with so many little details that I could look at pics forever. Hopefully when my mini-builders grow up, they'll help myself too, not only with tilling but with de-tilling as well!!! Quote
Stoertebricker Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Very nice layout! The only criticism I could find is that the colour distribution of the houses could be mixed up a bit, one side tan/yellow with black roof and the other side with lot of sand green. Otherwise its only missing some bigger ship with lots on sails Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 That is what I always wanted to build! A pirate dream come true Quote
BrickzAndBrezn Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 I love it! When my son is a bit older I hope he still likes pirates, then I want to build a pirate town for his room too. Wondering how the orange roof is done. Quote
zinnn Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 This is an absolute dream of a set, I don't even know where to start, the moment I think I've seen it all I discover something new. Just wow. It inspired me to order the Pirate Cook minifig actually :P Quote
Elephant Knight Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 This is impressive. I may have to steal a few styling choices for my own port MOC. EKnight Quote
